lol, don't be jealous because I've been rocking out with my X1 like a beast while you and all these others are wondering if they should get one or not.

While you're thinking "Should I get one? Maybe I'll wait for a price drop. Maybe I'll wait and see if there are any problems before I buy one. I wonder if that game is fun to play"?

So while you and others may be thinking these or similar thoughts, I've been having loads of fun and problem free.

That alone is enough for me not to care that people are doing just now what I've already done last year......

I guess I've always believed that being an early adopter is generally a mistake, so I never would do that. There are absolutely zero games that have caught my interest so the new console would just sit there, unused and dusty. There are far too many excellent
360 game sales going on right now. How can a gamer ignore these crazy sales, unless they played everything? I sure haven't. I just got Diablo 3 and GTAV and am loving them both. I don't condemn anyone that's bought an X1 but I think there are a load of
great reasons to wait.

Dude.... that's how it works. As early adopters we know there will never be a time when the console costs more than it did it launch.

We accepted that condition going in.

I wouldn't call it early adopters, I would call it wanting to be the first to get one. The console itself hasn't changed, just software updates..... no different then buying a new cell phone.

I didn't read through the whole thread, I just have to say to the OP, if you got the day one edition I have a feeling your early support will be rewarded, it's just going be in like 5 or 10 years hahaha.

Then we can all look forward to the "I'm a loyal customer it's unfair day one ppl get X" threads, haha.

I bought mine day 1 for $500 + tax. No regrets here. More deals just mean more people will be picking up the console and getting in on these amazing games. Power to the gamers.

I can see how the OP feels about this. Personally, I waited a little bit to get the X1, and I've only had mine for a week, but I got it with 2 free games, for the same price and many paid for just the X1. It's just part of being an early purchaser. However,
I don't have the limited edition controller, box, or achievement that came with the early X1 purchase.

At first I thought people were getting $75 cash for the purchase....but to get $75 to spend only on Microsoft hardware/software, not a big deal in my mind...

There's not much reason to upgrade at the moment that's why there's special offers on etc. MS need something to entice new customers with. There's not the exclusive catalogue because it's still early days for the XBOne. No backwards compatability. But
if early adopters are happy, then so be it.

laohuxia1982, I understand where you are coming from. This is happening very quickly. Only devices I have really ever seen this happen on are ones that are not selling so well anymore (even if they started out hot). Typically you do not see these things
in the first few months. Anyone should know that sales happen. And if the item has been out for 12 months it could happen tomorrow. But these things happened and are happening early.

It is not like early adopters are paying for early access or something. No, the item is available to anyone. You are an early adopter because you support the company. It would be different if you are getting actual early access.

I really do not care about this issue personally but I can definitely understand where you are coming from. It is one thing to buy a product that has been out for a while as sales can happen at any time. But it is another to a brand new product and have
all these thing happen so quickly. And it really is hurting the brand. I have heard some people say they will wait for the price drop that should be coming soon. They point out the removal of Kinect already and the deals MS is offering. Of course early
on, when I sold my first One to wait for some of these things, I was told many times "It will be a year or two. Enjoy the wait." Then a couple months back I get a console, 2 controllers (sold one for extra money back) 2 games and 1 year of Live Gold. Overall
it cost less than the console by itself. And I was able to sell the Kinect as well which helped reduce the cost even more. Of course they hate to admit they did not see this coming so soon.

You are complaining about being an early adopter. Next time, don't be an early adopter. It's ok if you're not. There are those of us who buy knowing that we're paying for access ahead of the rest. If you prefer to work the bang-for-the-buck angle, do that.
Don't buy at launch. There's nothing wrong with that.

this is the nature of business, the X1 is selling well, but not as well as the PS4, so to the internet it meant the X1 was failing, so MS changed policies to reduce the price, some retails are running popular discounts to move product.

welling to bet we won't see a drop in the PS4 price until the X1 starts outselling it.
