networking issue port forwarding XB1

Xbox Live Connection Issues

You could also try port forwarding, give that a go and tell us if it fixes the issue!

Xbox is connected to wifi and my profile can sign in, yet it still says "connect to xbox live"

Upnp should be all you need on that router .....what is your modem ?

 

That cisco is also a router ...if your having NAT problems , the cisco is the bad guy , it needs to be in "bridge mode" to be just a modem and not a router...

 

Yea your essentially having two routers behind each other which will cause NAT issues

 

you may have to contact your isp and have them bridge that for you ....OR , just give it back to them and go buy a plain modem ...

 

I'm getting conflicting info on this router ability to be bridged , some say yes , some say no.....here is a guide below if you want to try ...

I called ISP they said this modem was in bridge mode already .

when I ran the couple tests (live multi player . internet. speed test ) on the network screen they showed everything was good and NAT was open.

speed test was 58.39 Mbps down 5.23 Mbps up . latency 50ms

but still getting constant disconnects while playing destiny

some with error codes a lot without

 

also opened the port

3074 for the Public Port and Private Port. on the virtual server all these routers had the same instructions for port forwarding see if that works tonight

 

plug your xbox straight into the modem . re boot the modem and the xbox and see if the problem goes away...

also , wired or wireless ? whichever one , try the other ....if your on wireless , make sure to use the 2.4 ghz band and not the 5 ghz........

 

stand alone xbox into modem wired works fine (ran it for 1-2 hour no issues )

router still does not work even with wired connection (ran it for 1-2 hours dropped twice)

am I using the right port forwarding codes I think its too late to return router

 

Hold in the little reset button on the router for 30 seconds (paper clip or toothpick ) and let it reset to defaults and see if it's better...

 

and , I don't think the ports are causing your disconnect problem , opening the ports just gets your NAT open......make sure your router has the latest firmware also...

 

so the ports don't matter then I'm pretty sure the nat was always open

figured you would ask about firmware I checked last night for latest version

will do the reset thing today and see
