Networking for 8 players?

Hello,

Back in my day we had LAN parties with all of our buddies on PC...

Trying to be a good stepdad here, looking to network 2 xbox ones and run 8 kids on split screen 4 on each and play the same map together. Similar idea with nhl 17.

Is this possible on xbox one and how? I have any cables and and 4 port switch handy. A's well as I can do wireless if needed but would be on same WiFi router and would likely lag.

I assume you have already performed these steps at the link below, if you haven't done any of the troubleshooting steps in the link, go ahead and try them.

On the off-chance that none of these has helped you at all, I would actually suggest resetting the router and the Xbox's Network Settings back to default and see if that helps.

First WiFi will work but it would be better to hardwire the consoles for a better network connection.

It is possible to link xbox one together and but setting up the split screen is depended on the game. The issue is if your using digital content and both Xboxes are using the same primary account, this will not work do to licensing of this content. If
have 2 account and buy games for both accounts to do a similar activity. Mostly so we can play halo 5 against each other since it can not run in split screen mode.

I hosted multiplayer for about an hour and was getting 8 to 10 players in the room using matchmaker. Game ran perfect and no complaints.

I will get onto my mate and get him to test his network speed
