Network Update?

Okay, so I was going through my settings menu on the Xbox One looking for where I can find the new volume adjustment settings. When I selected the network sub-menu, it prompted me to go through an update. It's currently at 20% & counting - I'd like to know
what this update to my network settings does. If you know, please share. Also, I still haven't found the new volume settings, so if you could tell me where that is too I'd like to know.

EDIT: I also just updated the software for the controller - what specifically does that update? I believe I heard it was the joysticks, but I'd like to know for sure.

Network card

Hello, I just realized that the Xbox 360 uses weird usb looking network card. Is there an actual reason to this? Or is it made like that to make sure no one just replaces the network card to something else they like. Also does anyone know how to remove the BIOS of the Xbox? Ive been trying to install LInux however the BIOS is in the motherboard. Any help is great thank you

 

360 Slim Doesn't See Network

My Xbox360 Slim wont see my wireless network. Every other device in my house connects to the network flawlessly. My Xbox occasionally sees my neighbours network. To be clear, it's not that my Xbox won't connect to the network, it usually claims there are no networks to connect to. Any help?

 

Joysticks and audio I believe.

What does it do for the joysticks?

I don't have a charge kit and don't feel like looking for a mini USB unless its really needed

 

The update will sync with your controller without having to connect it.

Nobody knows about this network update that is updating my console with God knows what?

The update is for the headset adapter to work so you don't need it. If you get an adapter it comes with the cable. either way You don't have a mini USB laying around? i have like 10 of them lol

 

This just in... there are forums for the preview users to go to! I would try there before I came to these forums for answers about the update preview/beta! Just sayin'...

 

I got the console update for today also, it took about 5 minutes to install and restart the console...nothing in the forums about what it is for either. Probably a patch update for people having online issues...I couldn't get on a single game last night
for Plants vs Zombies but today its working like a charm...actually coming in at 55 mbs DL and 38 mbs UL connection.

 

@Goth...actually this is probably the most used forum on the site right now, it's just easier when you have bookmarks, etc....and also the new forums for the update is so overloaded with "Please add my friend" posts, it's frustrating just to try and find
the actual people giving out back and forth progress updates.

 

@Dwoop, I gotta disagree. I'm not talking about the section to refer a friend. There are 10 sections in the forums to choose from, and there are "actuall Xbox Staff" answering questions and giving information with problems/glitches
some people have experienced. Anyways, to make this short... even if your claim this was the most "used" area was true, from what I've seen, it's not used by the brightest. lol (That statement should bring out a few more trolls. lol) My main point was simply

They have an update goin' for the controller too? Not use to this with Xbox 360. Genuine Xbox consoles generally have a secure connection to Xbox Live so if your console tells you you have an update it's legit. The thing I love with updates on Xbox 1 is
that the console doesn't abruptly disconnect you from Xbox Live every time there's an Xbox Live Update this happens with Xbox 360.
