Network Transfer Says I Dont Own Games

Hey, so I recently bought an xbox one x and gave my other one (xbox one s) to my brother.

He just bought Call Of Duty, INFINITE WARFARE on the older xbox.

So we turned on network transfer, and I downloaded Infinite Warfare from the other xbox to the One X.

It however keeps telling me that its only a trial mode and that I have to purchase the game to play it, even thought my brother bought the actual game...

Can you explain what's going on here and possibly fix it?

Just want to figure out something are you buying the next upgrade or are you expecting it to upgrade automatically because you already have the first version of the game (e.g. Standard upgraded to deluxe)?

If you are trying to purchase the upgrade and its not working then it might be that the "purchase content" is currently down, but if your expecting it to automatically upgrade then as far as I know that's not possible as they would be two different versions
of the game set at different prices.

 

Xbox says i dont own a game

I'm currently atemping to play my beloved skyrim that I haven't played in months, however everytime I enter the game I get hit with this statement "Do you own this game or app?"

Of course I do I I have know idea how to play my game now it's very frustrating! Help please!!

 

Since your brother bought the game it is tied to his account. So he can sign in and play the game on any console. In order for you to play it on the new console, he would have to set that console as his Home console.

 

Well then wtf is the point of network transfer if I still have to home xbox that **** anyways?

 

The network transfer is just a way to transfer files without having to redownload them. It doesn't have anything to do with game licenses.
