    Network speed fluctuates wildly

My Xbox One is rather far from my router so I am using a Netgear EX6100 Wireless Extender connected to the console with a cat6 network cable. When I connect any other device to the extender I get a download speed between 65 and 67 megabits. This is the same
speed it reports when I run Speedtest in Edge on the console. But when I use the Detailed Network Statistics on the Xbox One it gives download speeds anywhere from 67 to .04 megabits.

    Any ideas why this happens?

    :)

  2. network speed extreme variance

I'm having the same issue with my connection when it has always been good in the past. The connection speeds constantly fluctuate wildly. I've had techs out multiple times and they always say the connection is perfect. I've tried all possible troubleshooting.

    ISP: Cox Communications

    Modem/Router: Arris TG2472 wired connection

This can also be caused by your internet connection. If you are experiencing slow speeds or network data loss. I have this consistently due to my internet service provider providing subpar internet service. My speed and packet loss will fluctuate wildly.
Normally when this is happening for me I have at least 30% packet loss, and this is tested from the XBOX and from a hard wired computer. Unfortunately I have no choice to go through the cable company. One way I fix this is by turning the cable modem off for
15 minutes so I get a new IP address from my provider and then it seems to clear up for a period of time. If it does not then I hold the power button on the XBOX to do a hard shut down and restart the console and it is fine after that.

    Virginmedia MAJOR national outage.

    Ahahahahahahahahahahaha.

    Yeah.

Is that cos BT never goes down, never stops working resulting in them taking an inordinate amount of messing about just to get an engineer out, never has bad connections and wildly fluctuating speeds and never mess people about.

Yes, that's right - none of those things ever happen under BT.

Series controller, battery level wildly fluctuating

I see. However, is their type really relevant? The problem is that windows claimed it ran out of juice too fast. I am wondering if this is a bug or (god forbid) a defect with the controller.

Series controller, battery level wildly fluctuating

Hmm....I assumed it would be rechargeable ones since everyone says the official controllers ship with those. However I cannot really find anything to confirm that on the cells themselves. It just says Duracell OEM and the rest is some other language.

Anyways, I don't have other, fresh batteries with me atm so I can't swap them and test.
Far as I recall, the controller comes with batteries that aren't rechargeable. Duracell Rechargeables, from my own personal experience, are either Green and Gold or they are the normal Black and Gold with rechargeable written in green just under the Duracell name.

Having said that, different countries have different styles etc...Rechargeables would say it though

Those batteries are not rechargeable Sarath. You'll need to replace them after use.
