  1. Network settings

I'm having issues with my network on Xbox one. I have really quick internet speeds of upto 100mbps on my laptop and its runs smoothly. However on my xbox one im experience lag and very different speeds. For example I did a speed test and it said my download
speed on xbox one was only 20 mbps. I have reset the router and performed many different test's and keep getting the same outcome. The router is placed next to my xbox and is connected via ethernet cable. Does anyone know what i can do?

    Thanks in advance

    :)

How are you connecting to the Internet? Via a cable modem for example? I recently went through a rather long and painful period of poor connectivity. I share my home network with several others that love to stream shows from Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon. I
discovered that my worst experiences corresponded to times when they were active. I couldn't figure out why this was problem because I have a very generous plan from my ISP. A tech support call to my ISP turned up something I hadn't factored, my cable modem
was old, a DOCSIS 2.0 device in fact. My ISP recommended that I upgrade to 3.0 or better to actually have full access to the bandwidth I was paying for. I purchased a model that supported multiple
channels to accommodate the other simultaneous connections that are typical in my household. That fixed my problem. I would also suggest testing with a different Ethernet cable if you haven't already done so.

I found the official diagnostic support steps at
Network Settings on Xbox One to be helpful as well. There are some advanced
options that could provide additional information.

  6. Have you tried a hard reset on the Xbox? Hold the xbox button down on the front until it shuts off. After this are you still getting the same speed? Have you also tried changing out the ethernet cable or a different port on the router? Also you could
try changing the DNS to Google which is 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 You can do this by going to your network setting on your Xbox. Push the Xbox button on your controller and on the left hand side go down to settings> All settings>Network>Network settings>Advanced
    settings>DNS settings>Manual I hope this helps Network settings :)

When you did the hard reset did you unplug the power cable from the back of the console? If not try the hard reset again but this time unplug the power cable from the back of the XBOX for 5 minutes then try it again. Update with the results. Good Luck!

Forward port 3075. Worked for me, but I do have my One on moderate for a while now. Just can't get it to open anymore.
