I think you may need to re-register your Xbox with your college's IT department because the Xbox is probably not on the same subnetwork your laptop is, since the network settings changed when you rook it home for spring break.

no, the problem is I can't connect them to the same network, I moved to my college dorm and my laptop is on the wifi, but my Xbox isn't and I can't change the settings because I don't have any display. Is there a way I can change my Xbox settings through the

You can use your HP Laptop as a screen through console streaming. You can use the Xbox App or Xbox Console Companion to do so.

1. Xbox console: Game streaming must be enabled in Settings.

2. Windows PC/Laptop: You must be signed in to the Xbox Console Companion app with the same Gamertag as on the Xbox console.

3. Network connectivity: The Windows 10 PC/Laptop and the Xbox console must be on the same home network.
