  1. Network Settings do not allow Voice Chat with Open Nat

I don't know what happened but I login today and I can't voice chat with anyone nor can they hear me, the party system tells me that its my network settings but my network settings are fine. I've rebooted the xbox, the modem everything and still have this
issue. If it helps i'm on the preview dashboard but I didn't see anywhere of anyone else having this issues so i'm not sure if that is it or not.

    :)

If it is not the update- make sure your NAT is open. When the NAT is closed, you cannot access voice chat or multiplayer and may not be able to access correctly. My solution to my NAT was factory resetting my console. (You can check NAT on the Network Settings.)

  3. Weird issue with mic

Sounds like NAT or network issues. Sometimes when two people have a certain network config you can play and chat with other people just fine, but not someone else with your same issue.

My wife and I used to have a similar issue with chat in OG Destiny. Check your NAT and make sure it is open not moderate or strict.

Cant talk on xbox with ps4 friend on rainbow 6 siege

    Hello iva yletava,

We appreciate you for sharing this with us and welcome to Xbox Forums.

We understand that you are having trouble communicating with your PS4 friend on Rainbow 6 Siege. I'll be happy to assist you with this issue.

Firstly, please ensure that both you and your friend have enabled cross-platform communication in your game settings. To do this, please follow the steps below:

    1. Launch Rainbow 6 Siege on your Xbox.

    2. Navigate to the Options menu.

    3. Select Audio.

    4. Scroll down to the Voice Chat section.

    5. Ensure that the Voice Chat Mode is set to "Open".

    6. Ensure that the Voice Chat Record Mode is set to "All".

    7. Ensure that the Voice Chat Output is set to "Speakers".

    8. Ensure that the Voice Chat Volume is set to an appropriate level.

    9. Save your changes.

Your PS4 friend should also follow the same steps on their console to ensure that cross-platform communication is enabled.

If the issue persists, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

    1. Restart your Xbox console and your game.

    2. Ensure that your Xbox Live Gold subscription is active and up-to-date.

    3. Check your network connection and ensure that your NAT type is set to "Open".

    4. Ensure that your Xbox Live account is in good standing and not suspended or banned.

You can also try to check in-game settings. Launch Rainbow Six Siege and open options. Choose the audio tab. Sett Voice Chat volume to the maximum and Master Volume to a moderate level. Depending on your use case, Voice chat record mode can be set to open. Set the Voice chat record threshold to a reasonable value after settings the voice chat record level to 100.

Check your network settings: Your NAT type determines whether you can successfully use multiplayer gaming or party chat.

I've already reset my console. By holding the button down for 10 seconds. And I have already hard reset my Xbox. Keeping games and apps and I'm still having the same problem.

Hi. My name is Brilliant, an independent advisor, happy to assist you today.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with voice messages in Xbox party chat. There are several reasons why you might not be able to hear or send voice messages in party chat:
    * Your audio device might be turned off or not connected properly.
    * Your privacy settings might not allow communication with everyone.
    * You might be experiencing network latency or other network issues.
    * You might be in a Discord voice channel instead of an Xbox party chat.

Here are some solutions that you can try:
    * Make sure that your audio device is turned on and connected properly.

    * Check your privacy settings to ensure that communication with everyone is allowed. To do this, press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide, select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Privacy & online safety > Xbox privacy, select View details & customize > Communication & multiplayer, and then make your changes.

    * Check the detailed network statistics for your network by following the steps in Network settings on the Xbox console.

    * Make sure that you’re in an Xbox party chat instead of a Discord voice channel.

    I hope this helps.
