Hi i am on edge of breaking my son xbox one

he is getting this error Network seetings block chat for some people Go to network settings and tried

nat open

restrictions open

rebooted

rebuilt xbox one

checked privcy settings

i did the MAC clean filter

i re booted router

i change router

still same PLEASE HELP ANY ONE

Cannot chat in party

I get an error saying "network settings block chat for some people go to network settings"

NAT Type is Moderate

All services are open

I can't find anywhere to adjust blocked chat in network settings.

Can anyone help?

I cannot join anybodies party through the xbox app on windows 10. I get this Network error [0x89231806] and it says network settings block chat for some people at the top

 

i'm having the same stupid problem! hellooo microsoft! fix this ! why is this question unanswered when it's one of the ones that pops up on google????

my brother and i both have problems when we are trying to connect to party chat with each other "Network settings block chat for some people Go to network settings" but when our friend invites us to party, or joins our party, then suddenly we can both chat
in the party chat.

stupid little problems like this really REALLLLLLY need to be fixed. why did i pay 500 dollars for this machine if i cant even play it!!!?!?????

 

also all three of us have a moderate NAT setting

I have the same problem and my Nat type is open.

 

Hey guys i fixed this problem today. I had to change some stuff in my router. my router had restrictions, i called my internet company and they helped me make some changes. i had to switch it to a ppoe something or other, idk exactly what all happened but
i had to go and manually input a bunch of stuff in my router settings and now im up and running! my NAT was moderate before and i now it says open on my xbox.

There were some issues with Xbox Live yesterday (May 15th). This might have been the cause of this issue.

Is the issue still there?

 

I am having the same issue, and it's still a problem. Additionally, I have tried skype and in-game chat and nothing works. I can hear my friends, but they cannot hear me at all, neither through the headset nor through the kinect, so it must be some type
of network issue. I am getting really really fed up with all these chat problems. Please provide a solution.

NAT Type: OPEN

Tried all of the following:

Restarting the xbox, hard restart and unplug to reset, restarted router, restarted modem, called internet company to check if router/modem were functioning properly (they are), checked to see if headset and kinect are both working (they are).

Not sure what to do next, I've tried pretty much everything. I am confident that all the hardware is working properly, and restarts have not helped.

 

Also, all privacy and xbox one settings are correct, and I have interfaced with all other xbox settines to see if it made any difference. Nothing has worked.

Could you try running the Xbox Connection test as well as the
Multiplayer Connection test on your Xbox One? You can find these under the
Network part of Settings.



Lets see if that brings up any errors.

 

Still having this problem.

I figured out what is causing it though. You need to have a public IP for this to work.

Even though your xbox one will tell you that your NAT is open, it isn't open all the way. You have a private IP. My internet company switched me over to their other internet which put me on a public IP address and I was using the chat on xbox live just fine.
Unfortunately though that internet they put me on gave me really bad lag, and he told me that when they get high traffic on there that speeds would slow down. Call of duty was unplayable so I had them switch me back over and now I cannot chat in an xbox live
party anymore.

I tried all kinds of stuff like port forwarding and static IP but nothing works. Next week management from my ISP is going to call me and try to resolve this problem for me.

Why the [Mod Removed] would microsoft not make it so that EVERYONE can friggen just use their xbox without any
[Mod Removed]? this seems so ridiculous. I'm sure mr bill gates with all his billions of dollars can fix this problem. Xbox 360 works just fine. We should not have to call our ISPs and deal with all this junk!

Paid 500 for the xbox, 65 for the xbox live, 70 for each game, and this is what I get!! To you intend to rectify this microsoft? OF COURSE NOT. I mean..who makes money doing honest business right?

This is seriously stupid. but I hope that will help you guys out. Because I did fix it and was chatting and hosting games and all that just fine. My ISP told me that the only reason xbox one is set like this is because it's less work for them and it would
cost microsoft money. surprise surprise.
