    It's a never ending battle and I'm done. I disconnect constantly from party's, since forever and no matter the settings. I have legit tried everything but wiping my xbox. I connect to party's via the app no problem, on my pc or phone.

    Here's a list of what I have tried and failed with.

    * Static and reserved IP

    * Lan.

    * Lan with Port forward on and UPNP off (Ports off Microsoft website.)

    * Lan with Port forward, DMZ on and UPNP off.

    * De-powering and resetting alternate mac.

    * Wifi connected with DMZ.

    * Wifi bridging.

    * Network switch with loop back, cross over, ect.

    * Bridged through win 10 + 7.

    * Nord and PIA vpn's

    This has been going on for years, multiple ISP's and multiple modems. Obviously I've always had open nat (ipv4), plenty of bandwidth, mtu fine, 0 packet loss and still....... boop "PARTY CHAT DISCONNECTED."

    Game play wise, I literately never lag out of games, never teleport, game chat works fine but someone else always has nat issues. Also for some reason I always get stuck in every loading area for ages.

    For about a year I couldn't take it and resorted to a 4g dongle that had ipv6 and could DMZ, that was the best I had but was prone to drop outs and lag. I'm in Australia and even the ISP's that advertise ipv6 don't properly support it, or are too expensive.

    BTW, I'm very sick and bed bound. I only play Destiny for the co-op and friend factor and this is legitimately ruining my QOL. Please, someone who knows what they are doing, grant me five minutes of your time and end this battle Network problems, expert advice needed. :(

    :)

    Its not going to work they way you think it will, if you have a dvr your still going to need the remote, all the one is going to allow you to do is change the channel. To record, switch inputs etc... you still need your remotes, I think its pretty much useless
    what M$ is doing with the passthrough.

    [/quote]

    The kinect also doubles as an IR blaster... this would mean the Kinect and the XB1 have a learn feature... if your cable is connected with the pass through... and the Kinect can learn the record DVR command.. I see no reason as to why you cannot issue
    a command for the DVR...

    Also Beach.. do you have ANYTHING to say positive about the XB1?? seriously... Get a life brah.... move on... go outside.. or just in fact grow the F up...

    Streaming from your HTPC might not be so easy either since they've removed the Media Center Extender capabilities from the Xbox One. Hopefully they'll have something to replace it, but right now it's not looking too good for those that stream video over
    their networks.

    This may mean that the Internet connection between your Xbox console and the other party members is failing. This often happens because of incompatible Network Address Translation (NAT) types.

    To resolve this problem, you and the friend whose party you're trying to join should use the
    Xbox One Multiplayer Game Solution.

    Just because its old tech that any one can do does not mean they are going to do it, there are legal walls that they may have to over come in order to control the box. You have to understand, what cable company is going to let M$ control their box? You think
    comcast is happy that M$ has a pass through, that cuts them out? Its like putting a turbo in your brand new 458, yea it makes it faster, but Ferrari hates you for it.

    @tohell

    Where is the proof that it can learn remote commands, just because it has an ir blaster does not mean it can do that. The command to record comes directly from the dvr, I doubt you can issue a command through an hdmi pass through. I will probably eventually
    get an X1, I don't know when though, I don't hate the X1 (just kinect). The X1 has killer instinct which I'm very interested in and the dashboard seems pretty cool. As far as the games, DR3 looks cool although I can pass on it. Titan fall is not an exclusive,
    I always liked the forza franchise over GT franchise, I prefer the 360 controller over the DS3, although through reviews, they said the ds4 is on par with the xbones, so thats a toss up now. I can't think of anything else, but I got a few.
