    Network- Ethernet cable suddenly stopped working

    Hey there Psilocybxns

    Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for clarity on what could be happening with this console. I can understand how this could be disheartening as for most people, hard wire is the gold standard for connecting to the internet. Seeing as it is getting that
    error, I would definitely try the steps outlined in our Xbox One Network Connection Error Solution. If the steps outlined there doesn't help, then
    I suggest trying port forwarding of your router following the specifications Network ports used by Xbox Live on Xbox One.

    If all that doesn't help, it would seem that your ethernet port is in need of service. You can always have this attended to by Xbox by creating a repair order at

    device support
    or by contacting
    customer support
    and having an agent help you with one directly.

    When you get a chance, give those steps a shot and let us know how that helped.

    Thanks!

    Hi!

    For a correct configuration, set a
    static IP
    address on the console. In this way the router will not manage IP addresses dynamically, even causing conflicts sometimes.

    I would suggest resetting your router: 1) unplug your router for 60 seconds 2) plug the router back in and wait for all of the lights to reappear 3) restart your console and then reconnect the console to your network

    Hopefully this brings you some resolve today!
