Network connection OK, Unable to connect to multiplayer

Hi, I'm unable to connect to multiplayer on my X-Box One but can connect to the internet and download updates etc.

    I've set up port forwarding of the following ports: 53, 80, 88, 500, 3074, 3544, and 4500 to my X-Box One.

My NAT type still shows as strict

    I'm using a ZyXel P660 HW-T1 v2 router.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    :)

    Connection problem - HELP

    Hey guys,
So it's been about a year since I bought my Xbox 360 (newer generation), and my Xbox Live connection works 2 days out of 3. I use wireless connection. My Xbox is pretty far from my router, but when I connect to a network, my router shows up and there are usually around 4 bars. When I click on "test connection", this is where it tells me that the console is unable to connect.
Did anyone had this problem before?

SOS: can't fix my Xbox One

Hey guys sorry for the late response but I appreciate your responses! When i set a static IP address, it says "cannot connect to static IP address". When I set it at auto, it says "cannot connect to IP address". I try the test network connection and I get those messages. I tried the ethernet cable and it worked just fine.

I tried the console on two other networks. One at a friends house with a different ISP and different router and the other is my phones WiFi hotspot. it still didn't work. Both of them when I connected to the network I would test network connection and it would say it connected fine. But then I would test multiplayer connection and it would say "could not complete multiplayer test" on my hotspot, and would say "network not setup" at my friends house. I tried downloading a 17gb game demo and it sat at 0.1% for a good half hour.

I talked with someone who's an electrical engineer and is very very tech savvy and he pinged the xbox with the router and said it's connected fine. The router is able to see the xbox with no issue. He's convinced something got screwed up when Microsoft repaired my wireless adapter.

I have the same problem... This sometimes works for me -

Try going to advanced settings and where it has all the information like your ip address, primary, mac etc etc, everything you see, write it all down so you dont forget, then enter it all again manually and your xbox will reconnect again. Now go and check your
Nat, if it dont work the first time then try again a few more times,it just might suprise you.

If it works can you let me know. Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestion, tried this and can get online, but still says I'm not connected to multiplayer from the home menu. However I can now access some multiplayer content from game directly.

Is this likely to cause problems in the future? NAT still showing as secure..

  6. Try this first of all, but its only a temprorary solution.

    1.sign in to xbox live

    2.start game

3.go to the multiplayer section and click A

4.once it loads hit the home button

    5.go to network>disconnect>then reconnect

6.hit the home button again and go back to the game you were just playing

7.click xbox live and it should let you right on immediately

For a permanent one id advise to call support or read couple of things on NAT mostly, how to forward ports or make a open NAT. If you post your model of the router I might be able to help.

Hi sorry for the slow reply.

I can get online but the NAT is strict and this is creating problems finding opponents and slowing connection.

    My modem is a ZyXel P660 HW-T1 v2

    I've set up port forwarding of the following ports: 53, 80, 88, 500, 3074, 3544, 4500 to my X-Box One.

Does anyone know how to get the NAT open?

I've spoken to my ISP but they're useless Network connection OK, Unable to connect to multiplayer :(

  8. Network connection OK, Unable to connect to multiplayer

Go to settings -> network settings -> advanced settings -> set ip address/gateway/subnet mask to manual and then reenter it as it was before on automatic(write it down on a peace of paper or something before you set it to manual) - This is on the xbox one

Then go to your router, access it (If you called the isp you probably know how to do that) then go find DMZ on the router, I checked your one has it, but the exact location is foggy. Here is the screenshot from your router models how it looks

    screenshots.portforward.com/.../NAT_DMZ.htm

Enable dmz and under the DMZ Host ip address put the manual ip address from the xboxone.
