    Network Connection Failures and Vudu Issues


    So I've been having trouble getting Vudu to work on my 360 so I decided to run a network test. It seems to fail every time when it tests the connection between my Network and the Internet.

    Funny thing is I know I'm connected online because as soon as t hat fails I am able to sign back into XBox Live with no issues and apps like Netflix load up just fine. Any ideas?

    Also with Vudu it fails trying to authenticate me. Never gives me an option to sign in with my Vudu account. Just automatically goes to an authenticating screen showing my 360 avatar and fails saying Network error and to check the status on xbox.com/status
    but Vudu shows green on the status page. Anyone else experience this?

    It sounds like the Xbox is not getting a good connection to the router. I would also recommend checking the cable that you are using to connect the Xbox to the router. Are there any link lights on the router for the port you connected your Xbox too? I don't
    think your connection speed in an issue. A 6Mb connection is more than enough for XBL to connect.

    So I just moved to my new apartment and got new internet services from AT&T. I have my Xbox plugged directly into the router, but for some reason, I can never connect to Live. When I go to Network settings, I try everything. Manually putting in my IP, having
    it do it automatically, and still the connection to the network always fails. All of the options that Microsoft gives me for "fixing" the issue never work (i.e. unplugging the router, resetting the system, etc.). So I am just wondering if anyone out there
    has any ideas on how to help me. I am getting incredibly frustrated with all of this.

    Also, not sure if this is a big deal, but my Internet account only allows for 6mbps. I'm not sure if because this is a little slow, if Xbox is just kicking me out and not letting me sign in or what.

    Anyways, I would love it if someone could help me. I'm running out of options here.

    VUDU app failing on Xbox since early March

    I recently started to have this same issue with the HDX buffer error message on my XBOX One Vudu app after years of trouble-free streaming. Not sure if it happened when Fandango got involved with VUDU. All works fine and streams fine on the Vudu app on a wired network connection on my Apple TV by the way. I am on a gigabit fiber connection, with a wired connection from the XBOX directly to my cable modem, so it's not my network from what I can tell. I did see some other suggestions to switch my XBOX to a wireless connection, which I have done this afternoon after getting the streaming error again that asks if you want to switch to SD. So far I'm half way through the same movie that had issues and it's playing fine. Interesting and disturbing that this would be a "fix". Come on Vudu, let's get it together!

    Hello! This is more a connection issue, i really recommend to uninstall the app and installed again.

    Also verify your network connection abd try again.

    I friend use vudu with his Xbox One X and dont have any trouble.

    Try This:

    Delete your profile (profile ONLY as opposed to profile and items, when prompted)

    Clear your system cache 3 times (Make sure to do this three times!)

    Turn your console off, then back on

    Re-download your profile

    It's all linked above. Try it and let me know how it goes. It worked for me like two days ago - I hope it works for you too!
