    Network connecting help


    My Xbox S usually scans for near by Wi-Fi signals for connecting. Now it’s asking for the “SSID” number only and can’t be changed. When I enter what I believe is the SSID it simply won’t connect. Anyone able to help?

    Hi Brian, I'm Kim, an Independent Advisor and I’m happy to help you today.

    Can you still access your console settings? If so, kindly go to your Xbox Settings. Select Network Settings > Advanced Settings. Under Change Settings select Alternate MAC Address> select Clear. Allow the console to restart when prompted then try check the error again.

    If that did not work, try changing your DNS. Go to Settings > Network > Advanced Settings > DNS settings > manual

    Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8

    Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4

    then check again.
