Network Behind a Port-Symetric NAT

So I'm military stationed overseas the past two years. Got my xb1off Amazon initial release while I was stationed in Bogota, Colombia. The internet there was non restrictive enough for Moderate NAT and open gameplay for the most part.

Now I am transfered to Cambodia where the internet is highly restricted. Because of this I utilized a PPTP VPN pass through on my laptop>>Xbox 1 just to get the system updates. However now I can't communicate or attempt to play online at all.

Chain: Router(Netgear N650)>>Laptop(PIA VPN set to eastern US"Brooklyn")>>xb1

Wireless from router>>laptop , then wired from laptop>>xb1

I've tried all things found to include UPnP, port forwarding(thru router AND shared connection) disabling any firewalls/restrictive programing in the router or shared connection.

No errors

Unknown isp: Cambodian

So is it fruitless to even try to get a Nat better than "strict" I'd take moderate at this point.

Xbox one behind Meraki MX64 security Appliance STRICT NAT

I am having trouble getting NAT set to anything other than STRICT for XBOX ones behind a Meraki MX64 security appliance. All ports are already forwarded. I get "Your network is behind a port-symetric NAT. Has anyone been able to get this working with
a Meraki MX yet?

They have slower internet and you are wondering why your connection is slower?

Depends on the router on how to disable NAT or make NAT less intense. We will need your service provider (at the place that has restrictive NAT) and the router they have.

Those will help us reconfigure a router / modem with different nat settings.
