    Network and Speed Issues

Ever since Sunday, March 29th I've had some trouble staying connected to my wireless connection, and its making me sign in mostly ever time I turn my Xbox on. When I go to the test Network and Multiplayer screens, I get a message that reads something like
"Your Network is good, but there are some Xbox Live Services Issues", even though there are no issues reported on Xbox.com. My Network speeds change every time I turn my Xbox on, and are as high as 25mbps, and as low as 0.5mbps at times. Before this, I had
no issues and my speeds were a solid 25mbps.

Here are the things I've tried, with no success, through Xbox and Comcast support.

    1. Hard resetting my router and system.

    2. Opening recommended ports on my router that Xbox has gave me.

    3. Tested speeds on my PS3 and my computer, and they don't match the speeds showing on my Xbox.

    Any help?

    :)

    Hi

Issues like that are usually caused by your local network traffic/connection.

As it streams across your local network, it can be traffic and network connection speed dependent.

Here are some tips to improve speeds:

    slow internet speed

It will mostly affect your online games, Because you need a high speed network not to disconnect from any game..You can play some games using this network speed.

    Hey there ItsTheKing11!

Thanks for posting back! There known issues with that Arris gateway regarding random disconnects similar to what you have described. I recommend checking out our Arris
TG862G Known Issues post and update the Arris' firmware to version 7.6.59c or later.

In addition to updating your Arris TG862G's firmware, I also suggest disabling UPnP if you only own one Xbox console and have already forwarded the proper ports. UPnP is useful only if there are more than one Xbox 360 or Xbox One console.

After you have updated your Arris device to it's latest firmware, turned off UPnP, and have verified that the proper ports have been opened on your Arris gateway, post back and let us know if the issue persists or not! Network and Speed Issues :)

The other option you would look at is how far away your console is from your Gateway. The TG862G/CT has a terrible signal, if its anymore than 25' away from your console you'll have issues.

  10. If there are known Issues with your gateway you should check if you can change it to another device !
