NETGEAR powerline 1000v2

I got a Powerline to help my wifi latency for my xbox one and when i plug it in it will work for a while and then all of a sudden drop the wifi. The lights will all still be green but nothing on the xbox. Even when it is working for some reason it wont
let me download games, ill go to download a game and it will say installing for a minute and then cancel the installation. I cant figure out what to do with this.

It does, but my latency is really bad without it.

Does your internet work ok without the powerline?

What is the make and model of your router and can you tell us how you have set up the Netgear powerline adapters.

My personal preference (as its not susceptible to wireless interference) would be powerlines/homeplugs I wouldn't go for Netgear though (you don't need a big name brand) Solwise/Vesenet/Devlo would be the ones I'd choose

Yes set up WPA2. It will ask you to make a passphrase or passkey. It's actually not as complicated as WEP and will be a little easier than those instructions say on that website for setting up WEP.

As for powerline adaptors. if you did buy them you would need to buy a pair, one to connect to the router and one for the xbox.

TP-Link make some good 500mbps powerline adaptors and they are a lot cheaper than netgears
