    Netgear: Port Forwarding


    Netgear (Routers): Port Forwarding
    Netgear WNR834M

    Login Information


    Netgear Smart Wizard - Light Blue

    Port Forwarding

    1. Login to router by entering http://routerlogin.net in to the address bar or by entering the default gateway IP address.
    2. The router will then prompt you to enter the user name and password. The default user name and password are: "admin", "password".
    3. From the menu on the left select Port Forwarding/Port Triggering.
    4. Select the Port Forwarding button at the top of the main screen.
    5. Click the Add Custom Service button at the bottom.
    6. In the following Screen enter a service name that indicates something to do with Xbox Live (XBL). Set the service type to both TCP and UDP. Set both the starting port and ending port to 3074. Then enter the IP address that the Xbox console you wish to
      port forward has.
    7. Click Apply.


    Disable Port Forwarding

    1. Login to router by entering http://routerlogin.net in to the address bar or by entering the default gateway IP address.
    2. The router will then prompt you to enter the user name and password. The default user name and password are: "admin", "password".
    3. From the menu on the left select Port Forwarding/Port Triggering.
    4. Select the Port Forwarding button at the top of the main screen.
    5. Select the radio button for any rules needed to be removed.
    6. Select Delete Service.
    7. Select apply.
