Netflix streaming bitrate and frequent stalling

Streaming Netflix on my XBONE is terrible and seriously making me irritated.

I have a fully wired network, where my XBONE has recently replaced my XB360.

XB360 and all other devices on my network (wired and wireless) == no problem.

XBONE (wired) == terrible user experience.

Considering that I'm old as dirt and don't have a lot of time for games cuz I have kids, my XBONE is primarily for media, and it's failing pretty hard in that category so far.

No DLNA streaming from my home media server + bad streaming = disappointed customer.

Forza Horizon 3 + HDR on One S, picture is bright?

I don't know if Netflix explicitly calls out whether what you're seeing is HDR, I think it might just be 4K - and as you say, finding the bitrate is the best way to know if it's actually coming through as 4K. But as the two tend to go hand-in-hand, if the
show was filmed with HDR and it's streaming in 4K according to the bitrate, it should be HDR content.

hey guys , thats good news, so how about the bitrate of netflix? did that improve , too? guys with the beta: please watch Example Short 23.976 and tell us about the bitrate you recieve!

 

I and a lot of other people have the same issue. The streaming can never stay at HD and it isn't my connection. I have 50 mb down on Fios. I have called tech support because of this and other stuttering frame rate issues on streaming...which turns out is
a bug across all the video apps on the Xbox One. The streaming video quality is terrible...I can play Netflix on my X360, Roku and iPad at the same time and it is perfect but on Xbox One it is horrible...hoping MS fixes this ASAP. I really think MS QA team
didn't do their job....
