    Netflix sometimes blacks out for a few seconds


    This is with Xbox 360, via a Sony Bravia TV.

    After about 40 mins viewing, there's a sharp static sound and the screen goes black for a few seconds, no sound. It's not a pause.. we actually miss those moments of the film.

    Happens every few weeks. So haven't raised the issue on this forum till now.

    Today.. now halfway through a movie Netflix blacks out permanently, difference is that now the sound continues i.e. the movie keeps playing in the background.

    I googled around , found that a few years ago there was a common problem of Netflix launching all black, but this seems to be different.

    Any ideas?

    Netflix crashes One

    Netflix is crashing my One. Sometimes it's after watching for a while and sometimes it's a few seconds after starting a video. The images freezes but the audio continues for a moment before distortion sets in then cuts off entirely. The screen goes black
    then the Xbox shuts down. Even the power pack turns off. This has happened multiple times now.

    my game keeps freezing

    Mine blacks out sometimes offline. While I'm playing the ladder with Skarlet it freezes a bit and when I'm going to the next match the screen just goes black for a few seconds. Doesn't bother me much.

    Having issues with my screen blacking out for a few seconds periodically. Sometimes when I turn on my TV it will just hang black for up to 30 seconds.

    Controller will randomly restart periodically.

    Games will occasionally dashboard and hard shut down- (auto resume doesn't work).

    I have the same problem. It's happened quite a few times.

    Series X and Lg CX.

    Watching Netflix, the screen goes black. I still see the Netflix interface and if I back out of the video, I get back to the Netflix selection screen. Pressing the home button takes me back to the Xbox dash board. Going back into the video, it plays for 2 seconds, and then black screen again. At first I thought it was Dolby Vision, so I disabled that, and still black screen. Changed it from 120hz to 60hz, black screen. I ended up closing the Netflix app from the Xbox Dashboard and it seems to be working fine now.

    I'm pretty tech savvy, so I can troubleshoot, but for someone that isn't, this is horrible. Especially after paying money for this thing. It should just "work"

    Owned it for 3 days now,

    The problems I am having with the Xbox One is the Interface sometimes lags, so I have to restart my console to get rid of the lag, the gameplay however does not lag. Also sometimes the screen will go black for a few seconds and then go back to normal.

    Games seem to be working fine just seems to be effecting certain apps. Just tried a different HDMI and it's still black screening.

    The main ones seems to be Mixer, Netflix and the Foxtel App (Aus) that are doing this.

    Netflix will appear for a few seconds before it'll go black after a few minutes it pops up again then it's goes black again.. I have to do hard reset everytime this happens

    Youtube's now working properly after the reinstall like I said in the previous post.

    I don't think it's an issue with my TV considering my Games have been working fine the past week since this has started happening.
