Good News for Australian & New Zealand members!

How do you peps feel about Screamride? It came out today and playing it on Xbox 1. I finished doing some recording and about to upload to Youtube. Screamride is one of my most anticipated games for this year. Looking forward to Ori and the blind forest,
and Final Fantasy Type 0 HD and Final Fantasy XV Demo all due out this month. I read Netflix may release on the 24th of this month for NZ XD. I use a Hauppauge HD PVR2 which I got January last year I've gotten a couple of friends involved in my Xbox videos.

Hey rippen, smiles and chemist. Have you checked out Aussie netflix? It will be a while before piracy decreases, Our overlords at the lovely free to air stations, news limited and telstra will be sure to leave us behind. Infortunately, there's not one show
I watch on Aus Netflix except maybe mythbusters re-runs. Not sure about NZ though I can only assume it's better then Aus netflix.

 

I'm actually pleasantly surprised on what's on offer for the Aus marketplace. I originally heard there was not going to be house of cards and orange is the new black so I'm practically sold on this. I'm going to wait for the Easter long weekend before starting
my trial.

 

I just feel differently about this since I've spoiled myself with Hulu + and Netflix for a while now. I was expecting more the we actually got, I'm glad it's good for Some.

 

There is enough on this version to to use it. Good thing is I can cancel it whenever I like if they don't offer enough.

No it still won't stop piracy but it's a good start and the more people use it or try it the the more Foxtel and free to air become irrelevant. I'm hopeful that the library will grow as the service becomes the norm here.

^thats like every subscription service. If you forget to cancel after the first free month they can charge you. That's just how they work. I set my calendar alarm for the day before it expires so I can cancel it.

 

Activated the trial but the library seems pretty slim so not sure if it's worth staying subbed right now but if they get up to speed with the US version I'll be in.

 

First, Australians and New Zealanders complain we don't get Netflix in our corner of the world. When Netflix released this week, we're still saying something like it's not worth it or hardly anything? Sure it won't have all movies/programs or be completely
LIVE TV for our countries or have the content which US and UK people get, but the apps out and you get the first month free, so be happy and grateful cuz I am. You can ask to have it cancelled or renewed anytime. For New Zealand, this has been the FIRST closest
thing to a TV app which has ever been released on Xbox 1 and Xbox 360. Quickflix is kind of rubbish. I've seen several movies and TV series which I'm into available on NZ Netflix. I know several of my American friends go to sleep and leave their consoles on
Netflix (or Youtube). I sometimes want to leave my Xbox on overnight but if I do I find myself waking up %^P* I mean we're suppose to get 8 hours solid sleep a night and even I struggle with that. Xbox is just too awesome. I even take it with me on my phone
during the day. If you're sceptical about it, you'll definitely want to make sure you get *alerted* by Cortana AI when the free subscription is about to expire. You should be able to keep it in your head though. Good night kiwis and kangaroos.

 

We're changing telco providers on 14th April from Spark ADSL to Vodafone ultra cable 100 down 10 up and getting Vodafone freeview TV so will be scrapping Sky TV. It means less cost and much better internet speeds. May keep Netflix it's awesome. I like the
programs and movies even though we may not get all the content US does. Netflix charges a lot less a month than Sky. And Vodafone offer better value and service. Fibre won't be rolled out by Spark/Chorus until 2019 only like 10% of NZ has it and we live in
a big city. Vodafone though owns cable which we can get. Where as Spark can't even provide VDSL.

 

The common consensus from everyone here in Australia is that it is great that it is here but that it lacks content. We have a lot of other options other than Netflix here so I'm not sure why people are just going to be "happy and grateful" with something
that is lacking compared to its competitors.

I've been using it for nearly a week now and love it, I also don't feel that it lacks content as I can't see me getting through everything I want to watch anytime soon. If I do get to that stage I'll just cancel and wait for more stuff to get added.
