Netflix not opening

Hi

The Netflix app on my Xbox One won't open. Whenever I try to start it it starts the loading screen and then boots straight back to the dashboard.

I can connect to other apps fine and my internet connection hasn't been a problem, Netflix also works on other devices. I've already tried re-installing Netflix - no luck.

Anyone else have the same problem or know what to do?

Nothing is working

Hi there,

Nothing is working

- Games not opening

- youtube not opening

- Netflix not opening

- Internet not connecting properly (though I can see all my friends are loving there wonderful xbox's because they're on games)

Tried reset, tried restart, tried, unplug, tried restarting internet, tried backflipping. You get the picture.

Flickering screen when opening netflix

My xbox lately when opening Netflix the screen start to flicker and theres no way to fix it. It needed to be fully restarted. This looks to affect the xbox sometimes since yesterday I didnt have a problem but today Im unable to use it for Netflix so far.
Also tried Amazon prime app and the same.

The good thing is that this is not affecting any games yet. If I restart the xbox and open a game, the image is normal.

Any help on this will be much appreciated!!

There are 2 things to try here:

1. Highlight Netflix on your Home screen and press the start button on your controller. Select Quit and wait 30 seconds.

2. If #1 does not work hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down.

Either of those options should solve the issue for you.

XBOX ONE: PERSISTENT STORAGE CLEARING

Home>Settings>Disc &Blu Ray>Persistent storage>Clear Persistent Storage 3x.

MAC CLEARING

Go to Settings > Network > Advanced Settings > Alternate MAC Address > Clear and Restart your console.

Then after that check if any changes occur.

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Xbox Forum support. I am sorry to know about the app situation, but I want you not to worry about it because I al here to help you out! I believe your console might need either a network reset or just a system refresh. I
would like you to go through the following steps to clear your Mac address and perform a quick power cycle:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

If even after going through the previous troubleshooting steps the same situation is recurring, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then
restart your console.

In case the issue still persists, the next step would be to perform a reset on the console. To do so you will need to follow the steps below to perform a reset on the Xbox :

Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you
to sign in to the account.

Also it's especially annoying to open Netflix....

Because I wanted to go to Netflix....

And get asked... "Do you want to go to Netflix or KIDS"?

Sorry to hear about your Netflix issue. Try power cycling your Xbox. Press and hold the power button for at least 8 seconds. Unplug the Xbox power cord for at least 10 seconds. Plug everything back in and restart. Let us know if this fixes your issue.
