Netflix, Lovefilm etc look horrible on Xbone

I'm watching the Expendables right now on my Xbone, yeah the picture quality isn't the best but its perfectly watchable.

Is does leave the question though, what does the Xboxone do well? PS4 is a better Media device, Its a better games machine. How could they get it so wrong? Don Mattrick and his raging h4rdon for Kinect ruined this machine.

Ain't no pensioners round here - just a bunch of gamer's old enough and wise enough to remember the good old days when there were hardly any fanboys, and people couldn't care less about frame-rates and resolutions so long as the game's were good!

That's some kind of crazy you talking right there. This place has always been a fanboy war ground. 've been on here since the original XBOX, through XBOX360 now xboxone. It has always been the same.

Various "groups" come an go that seem to think their opinion is fact. When anyone disagree the whole "fanboy" nonsense comes out. Disagree with the same person twice they spend the next 10 years claiming you bullied them. It will never change.

If anything as the average user has got older on xbox.com Uk forums the place is getting grumpier.

 

Oh and fanboyisim in video/computer games goes back to the Spectrum commodore Amstrad or the Amiga500 v AtariST ect ect. It just those arguments were kept in dark rooms known as computer clubs. Or people writing into computer games magazines.

 

Yeah back in the day you could have banter and have a few laughs its all serious business around here now...

The term fanboy goes both ways, you can go on forums to troll a console just for the lol but there is always the fanboys that feel the need to defend on said forum everyday, and refuse to accept a consoles obvious faults.

The latter is what I dislike on here.

 

I don't think there are that many fanboys on here if I'm being honest, (can only think of one) most people on here have admitted the faults.

But just because the majority disagree with someone complaining about something doesn't make them a fanboy, same if someone has something they dislike and complain about it doesn't make them a troll.

I think we all experience different things and deal with it in a different way. Like I genuinely have no issues with Netflix or other problems people talk about, that doesn't make me a fanboy.

 

Ooh im good - im talking about being old enough to remember the days of the speccie / amstrad / commodore etc..not the bloody forums!

 

I guess "Fanboy" has a different meaning for everyone.

I much prefer Xbox One, it's games, the controller, online service to what PS4 offers. I guess to some this makes me an Xbox One fanboy.

For me though I accept everyone is different so why I would say what I have above, there's others that prefer PS4, it's games etc ..

For me a fanboy is someone that would say ... "Xbox One or PS4 has the best games" .. and when someone disagrees, they just will argue to their blue in the face that their choice is the best, they don't accept that everyone has different views or I think
in some cases they just like to argue for the sake of it.

Still makes me wonder why some take it all so seriously though when it comes to consoles. I mean these people must know friends/family that have different brands/makes to other things they buy, whether it's cars ( Ford or Vauxhall for example ), phones,
iPhone or Windows, trainers, Nike or Addidas, TVs, Samsung or LG ... ... do they get so serious here aswell? I doubt it.

 

The Amiga was my first main gaming system...

 

Amiga was a fantastic machine.

I remember having the 500, it broke then I remember saving like crazy to get another when Sensible World of Soccer was released, upgraded to the Amiga 1200.
