    Netflix, Gold Subscription?


    Hi I thought that you did not require to pay for an xbox gold subscription to watch Netflix now? I cancelled my gold subscription as I do not use it, but now can't access netflix! Is this correct? Or Do I need a gold subscription?

    I'm trying to activate my Netflix account on my Xbox

    Netflix and gold memberships are two different things. Even if you have a gold membership you still need to buy a netflix membership to access netflix.

    A Netflix subscription and an Xbox Live Gold subscription are 2 different things. To watch Netflix on your Xbox 360 you will need to have Xbox Live Gold and a Netflix subscription.

    You have to have a subscription with Netflix as well as the gold membership in order to use Netflix.

    The Xbox 360 does not play BluRay discs at all.



    Netflix and Facebook (as well as many other "apps") require a Gold subscription. It's an incentive and added value for being Gold. You're not paying MS for your Netflix subscription.

    I was charged €6.99 for Netflix and €6.99 from Microsoft Luxembourg S.à.r.l. through Paypal

    Accessing Netflix through Xbox LIVE requires an Xbox LIVE gold subscription.

    This is billed separately from your Netflix subscription.

    You can log in to billing.microsoft.com to view specific details about the transaction, but I suspect the fee from MS is for your Gold subscription.

    plus you need a gold account to even USE netflix as well as a netflix subscription/account as well.
