Netflix freezing on Xbox One

Since about 2 weeks ago, every time I try to open the Netflix app on my Xbox One, it first takes forever to load, and then after the profile selection screen, it just freezes / lags. Every once in a while if you let it hang for 10-15 minutes, it will get
to the main screen, but then navigation is impossibly slow and you can't get anything to load. If I try to quit the app, the whole Xbox freezes up and I eventually just have to hard reset the console. I've tried quitting the app, uninstalling & reinstalling,
and nothing has worked. All other apps work just fine.

New One Netflix Update

I've been having a lot of issues with my Netflix app on the One here lately. The first time I load the app, it immediately freezes up and I have to exit out of it and reload it. Anyone else having this problem?Click to expand...

I was having this problem, too, but I think it was coming from the fact that I was just cutting the One off without exiting Netflix first. Do you do that? If so, exit Netflix first and then cut your One off. The next time you try to load it, it shouldn't freeze up.

Netflix freezes, console restarts

Just recently, since the last update... I have been having trouble watching movies on crakle, and freezing up on netflix when I try to hit the B and back of anything, it freezes up and I have to go to the xbox home and choose to watch netflix again to choose
another option..

Guys here is what you need to do.

Step One: Uninstall Movies & TV App, Netflix and BluRay Player.

Step Two: Change your console settings from instant on to power saving mode.

Step Three: Hold the power button down on your console until the white light on the adapter turns orange.

Step Four: Unplug the console and television set from the wall and wait five minutes.

Step Five: Plug the devices back in and power them up.

Step Six: Reinstall, Netflix, Movies & TV and BluRay

This will fix the errors you are experiencing.

Tried this last night, and no luck. Same issue with the lag / freezing. When Netflix is loading, it slows the Xbox down so much I have to force reboot by holding the power button on the console - using the xbox button on the controller doesn't even work.
I know it's not my internet connection, as I can stream through Amazon Prime just fine, and everything else works too.

I had the same issue a few months ago I would use netflix one day and not close it then try and use it again and it would freeze my console to the point I would have to reboot. now as long as I close netflix right when I am done watching it the console never
freezes. But as of last night my netflix is freezing the video and continuing the voice and hulu will do the same thing but give me a green screen with voice and I have tried all suggestions in the xbox help menu to no avail so I think there is a problem with
xbox.

I am also having this issue. But for me its not constant. One day it'll be working fine, and then the next it'll bog down while loading up and the whole xbox will bog down, causing me to completely shut down the console because it takes so long just to get
the home screen to pop up. The lag is terrible. I've seen multiple threads with plenty of "this is what I did" and not of those have worked for me. If it was a constant issue then maybe I would try more; but as I stated, it's only every once in awhile for
me which is odd. Everything else has been working great so far: dvd/blu, games, hulu, youtube, etc... it's just the netflix app that does this.

I have an old Sony Bravia from 2008 and was having this issue, trying everything to fix it: dns, netflix reinstall, xbox reinstall. This is how I fixed it: when I selected to autodetect my TV it was only giving me 640x480, I was using a 10m HDMI cable. When
I reverted to the original Xbox HDMI cable it recognized my TV as 1080p and Netflix started working fine! Hope this helps! Now I need to find a 10m cable that will also work!
