Netflix freezes Xbox One

Everytime I try to load Netflix on my Xbox one it freezes the entire console when at the first loading screen for the app. HBO Go is also affected, however, that app will load and work up until the point I choose a video which it won't load. I've seen
the problem mentioned on other threads but none of the suggests have worked. I've tried messing with the DNS settings as well as the display settings as suggested but nothing has worked. I have had this issue since around November when the new dashboard was
released and have seen people mentioning this issue on this forum dating back to this time as well. Another thread seemed to be addressing this issue but it has been locked with no solution provided. The link to that topic is Uh oh... that shouldn't have happened..
I've tried all the solutions listed there so if anyone has any new ideas or solutions that worked for them it would be greatly appreciated.

Netflix is freezing my xbox one

Annnnnnd not only does my Xbox one freeze, the netflix app decides to shut my entire console off.....

Help me please, I've uninstalled and everything

 

Netflix freezes and so does the xbox

Started to happend a couple of days ago. Watchin some Netflix and suddenly its freezes. The only move i can do

is to restart the hole xbox. But after a while its starting to freeze again. Tryed to clear cache, have deleted and re-installed the Netflix now

and it still freezes. Any ideas?

 

I too am having this issue but with Netflix. In also posted in the other locked forum.

The only thing I've found is a temporary fix, which is turning off the Xbox, unplugging the power cable and the HDMI output lead to the TV. Netflix usually then works once or twice afterwards. This is NOT a solution however and we shouldn't have to do this
every few days to use an app. All other Xbox functions and apps work as normal.

I have phoned Netflix twice who insist that this is a Microsoft problem (with the app).

 

It is frankly an embarrassment that Microsoft closed the other thread where this problem was outlined for MONTHS by DOZENS of users without a solution. Now here is a new thread without the community riot around this problem that Microsoft is ignoring.

I have an old Sony Bravia from 2008 and was having this issue, trying everything to fix it: dns, netflix reinstall, xbox reinstall. This is how I fixed it: when I selected to autodetect my TV it was only giving me 640x480, I was using a 10m HDMI cable. When
I reverted to the original Xbox HDMI cable it recognized my TV as 1080p and Netflix started working fine! Hope this helps! Now I need to find a 10m cable that will also work!

 

I am also having this issue. But for me its not constant. One day it'll be working fine, and then the next it'll bog down while loading up and the whole xbox will bog down, causing me to completely shut down the console because it takes so long just to get
the home screen to pop up. The lag is terrible. I've seen multiple threads with plenty of "this is what I did" and not of those have worked for me. If it was a constant issue then maybe I would try more; but as I stated, it's only every once in awhile for
me which is odd. Everything else has been working great so far: dvd/blu, games, hulu, youtube, etc... it's just the netflix app that does this.

 

i am having this exact trouble since 2 weeks.. only for netflix app.. and no solution... i did everything..

 

and fixed only with changing the hdmi port to another hdmi port on tv...

 

For me as of late every time I open Netflix it'll lock up and force close by itself but after I open it again it works fine. No need for any console restarts or unplug. Hopefully this gets addressed soon.

 

All I can say is 1 year later, it isn't fixed. and the error code still comes up as "error code not found". One day into having an Xbox, and this has me ready to return it for a PS4 replacement instead.
