    Netflix Framerate Pausing/Not Smooth

Netflix is basically unwatchable in its current state due to framerate pausing and stuttering that occurs every so often.

My connection is literally Gigabit Wired Ethernet and all my other devices stream Netflix perfectly without issue. It's pretty embarassing that my TV's built in app can outperform my $500 X1.

    Please fix this ASAP.

    :)

Next Gen Graphics... Framerate or Resolution?

OP: The higher the framerate the smoother the game. I can see a very perceptible difference between 60, 30 and sub 30. Games with low framerates have input lag. COD feels smoother and more precise than othe console shooters because of high framerate.

Resolution apart from making graphics more clear and pretty makes aiming more precise in shooters.

High framerate over resolution every day of the week.

Pause button not working on any remote in Netflix app

As of a few days ago, pausing works properly in the Netflix app.

    Hey OneOfTheseDayz,

Sorry to hear about your issues with Netflix. Do you have any information on your TV? Brand/model/make? Is your Xbox One connected via HDMI to a Gaming port or are you passing it through Cinema Mode or anything like that? Some TV's with 240hz or 120hz
motion effects can cause weird picture problems with netflix's frame rates if you have those enabled. Most smart tv's will disable this if you're using the smart app player functionality.

Do you have Hulu or Amazon prime to compare quality/picture playback with?

Also, what is your ISP? Does it do this 24x7 or are you hit like many of us with primetime playback issues but great quality at other times of the day?

I would definitely try and mess with the TV settings to see if you can enable game mode on the HDMI port or disable game mode or even enable/disable cinema mode and see if that helps smooth out the frame rate.

I have posted on this as well previously, video stutter on all streaming apps here in the US, Netflix and Vudu are the ones I use the most, was hoping that the February update would have fixed, but not. It was slightly better for about 30 minutes, now its
back to the video stutter. I've been using my Vizio TV apps to do all my streaming. Rediculous. Microsoft....fix the problem, or take the nonfunctioning apps off of Xbox Live until the respective publishers fix them! Funny thing though, those apps work fine
on everything else except the Xbox One. Common denominator comes to mind. I'm going to keep posting, only way to keep the attention on this unacceptable issue.

@blahism What you suggest has no effect whatsoever. There have been a few of us on these forums that have tried every permutation to fix this problem. I do have a 240hz Vizio and I have dumbed it down as much as possible, as well I have tried the Game Mode
setting, all this does is ruin the picture quality, does nothing for the problem. If it was the TV then it should be a problem when I stream using the Vizio TV app, only an issue with the Xbox One. On the same setup I have tried PS3, Xbox 360 and Vizio TV
app, all flawless, using wired connections. I have changed HDMI cables, hard booted and factory reseted the X1, uninstalled and reinstalled the offending apps, pretty much everything tech support could suggest. Then they direct me to the publishers of the
apps. I don't think it has anything to do the Netflix, Vudu, Amazon, our TVs, our routers or our internet connections. The common denominator is the Xbox One, for $500 it should be able to do what my kids Nintendo 3DS can do flawlessly!! I understand you're
trying to help, but this is a Microsoft problem, they're the only ones that can fix it. Like I've said before, the Xbox One is a dumbed down gaming console now. (FYI-Since my original post I have also seen very slight video stutter from the Bluray app as well,
not present when using my PS3. And no 3D support either!! C'mon Microsoft, I know you can fix this!!

    Blahism,

This is a known bug, there are frame drops / judder across the entire platform. It is extremely annoying and forces everyone to use another system (ps3, ps4, xbox 360) as their video platform of choice. I believe this doesn't affect blu ray but it has
its own issues such as some movies not working (i.e. game of thrones season 3)

Eurogamer did an analysis and found this issue as well (they only texted netflix, but appears in xbox video and all apps that play video)

There are numerous threads about this, but here is the largest one:
