Netflix error ui-800-3 (205040)

The last time I used the Netflix app was two weeks ago, everything was fine and it worked perfectly. The past few days I've been trying to use it but every time I try to load the app a screen pops up with "Netflix has encountered an error. Retrying in X
seconds. Code: ui-800-3 (205040)"

I've looked up the code on the Netflix support site and the only solution they have is to confirm DNS settings, which they say is to only set DNS settings to Automatic. I've done that and restarted several times with no improvement.

My xbox one is on a wired connection to a wireless range extender. I doubt that has anything to do with it since it was working before and literally nothing has changed with my setup.

If anyone has any insight on this, it would be greatly appreciated.

What have you people done to Netflix?

The new Netflix update is beautiful and this new UI was created by Netflix not Microsoft. They wanted to unify the TV UI across many different devices. This new Netflix UI can be found on both Xbox 360 and PS3 for example and looks exactly the same on both
consoles.

I dont use Netflix but wouldnt the UI in the app be the responsibility of Netflix?

 

I had a similar problem and was able to find a solution. When the error is displayed and the message says it will try in so many seconds - go down to reset netflix and click on that and reset it. I followed every other tip possible and after 4 hours this
was the one that worked for me. Hope this helps

 

I had this error, out of the blue. Thanks to GR1M50N for your advice. It worked!! I had spent hours on the problem following online support ideas from Netflix and other forums, also deleting and reinstalling the app, reconfiguring the internet service to
the xbox, etcetera, etcetera. It was only after I 'reset' that Netflix was restored. Thanks so much

thank you GR1M5ON it let me actually sign in to my netflix app with that stupid message and NeutralSystem66 trying hitting the reset twice and clicking the yes button twice then go back to the error message and click try againg it should take a min but it
should ask you to sign in

Guys here is what you need to do.

Step One: Uninstall Movies & TV App, Netflix and BluRay Player.

Step Two: Change your console settings from instant on to power saving mode.

Step Three: Hold the power button down on your console until the white light on the adapter turns orange.

Step Four: Unplug the console and television set from the wall and wait five minutes.

Step Five: Plug the devices back in and power them up.

Step Six: Reinstall, Netflix, Movies & TV and BluRay

This will fix the errors you are experiencing.
