Netflix error NW-2-5 Xbox One

Hey guys I need advice about what to do.

So I turn on my Xbox with the simple idea of relaxing and watching Netflix, but first the Xbox needed an update which took ages. Then when the xbox is on I loaded Netflix, which also needed an update. After all that I tried loading Netflix and I get an error
cant connect to Netflix nw-2-5. This is really starting to *** me off, sometimes I wonder we I even bother to buy the *** Xbox.

Regardless, I tried re-installing the app, restarting the internet ect, to no avail. When the Netflix app says checking network it shows.

(Tick) Netflix server 1 (Cross) Netflix server 2 (Cross) Netflix server 3 (Tick) Internet connection.

Any advice as to how to fix this is appreciated.

Hi, I have a similar issue to you. The netflix app on xbox one does not connect and I receive the error code nw-2-5. When I analyse the connection server 1 and 4 are fine but server 2&3 have an error message nw-2-5. All my other devices such as android phone,
iPads and PC connect fine. I have spent hours on the helpline but got nowhere. Is anyone having the same issues?

 

I have exactly the same problem, contacted netflix who said problem was with xbox because netflix working fine on ipad. Contacted microsoft who eventually said it might be DNS settings on router, now trying to explain to my ISP what the problem is.. Is
your error code nw-2-5 ?

 

I've had the exact same issue since the update. My router hasn't changed and I can access netflix via my iPad so can't be a router issue. Must be an Xbox or Netflix app issue? Same error nw-2-5.

Anyone found a work around yet or had any luck?

 

Guys ive had the same problem over last couple of days (error code nw-2-5)and tried resetting even to factory settings and then installing netflix again but no luck, have no problem watching through my phone connected to same wifi as xbox one. Will be cancelling
soon if not fixed.

 

It's not an xbox issue, I had exactly same problem on ps3, but just gave up when netflix worked on one.

 

Ive had the SAME issue and spoke to Netflix and they are telling me its to to with my internet provider but I have one of the best internet providers in the UK which whom I work with. And all my other devices work on the internet under my home. but I think
its been since the new Netflix update!

 

Mine now sorted, no thanks to netflix, microsoft or my ISP. What I did was take my xbox to my brothers, linked it to his network and hey presto it worked fine, then when I brought it home it worked as well. Would appear to be a glitch or bug.

 

Same issue for me. Bizarrely, Netflix streams perfectly on my Xbox 360 on the same router. Netflix adamant it's an issue with my ISP but surely that can't be the case if other devices are unaffected? Is there a tech issue I'm not understanding? If it's an
issue with my ISP, what should I be asking them to do?

 

I have had exactly the same problem. After reading MarMattRach's post I connected my Xbox to the personal hotspot on my phone and netflix ran fine. After disconnecting then reconnecting to my router it works!

 

Having the same problem. I am sure it's the update. I try running my One with wired connection and get the error. Then run it on wifi on the same router and works fine. This issue is not only affecting Netflix but games to. Destiny won't play either
unless on wifi. This will suck if I have to take my One somewhere else just to connect to a different network to clear the error!

 

same issue here...wtf..doesn't make any sense...same network and netflix works on all my other devices. Anyone find a reliable solution?

 

Had this same problem. All I did was turn off all game consoles in our house and reset the modem and router. Turned everything back on after that and Netflix was up and running again. Hope that helps everyone!

 

Bah, having this same problem. Only solution is moving over to wireless. Wired connection continues to have the app lock up while loading and fail to launch in time before the app is closed out. Don't want to use a wireless connection.. hrm.
