Netflix does a hard shut down of the Xbox One EVERY TIME

I've been having this issue for about a month now. Sometimes its 2 min in...sometimes I can do 3-4 episodes on a show. Bit either a error message comes up saying it can't play this title and does a hard shutdown of the system or doesn't give the message
at all and hurt shuts. It doesn't seem to be effecting anything else. My blu rays play fine, YouTube doesn't have issues, games play fine, my downloaded videos are good. Only Netflix. I've hard reset my system multiple times to no solution. I've even talked
to Microsoft and they can't answer it now. Also contacted Netflix and they referred me to Microsoft. Its maddening really. Anyone else having this issue?!

Xbox freezes and shuts down when watching Netflix or YouTube.

Exact same issue. Netflix and Hulu cause a hard shut down within 5 minutes every time, starting a few days ago.n I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the apps and doing hard shut downs. May do a factory restore next.

I'm a preview program user and every time I open youtube it shuts down my xbox one completely. Does anyone know how to fix that it just started today?

 

I'm not a user of Netflix but it does sound like the app is having issues for you. Have you tried uninstalling the app, clearing persistent storage and then reinstalling?

I have heard of this issue before, and there is something wrong with the power output when running videos apps. I would suggest trying to restore your console to factory defaults. If that doesn't work, you might want to head to your local Microsoft store,
and see if they have a way to fix your console.

 

Checked that as well and there's no issue there they said. They offered to replace the console but who's to say it won't happen on that one either. My console was brand new when i got it a month before this started to happen

 

I have been having the same issue. It hard resets on XBOX Video App as well. Figured Id look here for an answer if anyone knows.

 

It looks like this problem is happening to a lot of people. It's been weeks since I haven't been able to watch Netflix on my Xbox One and it's really frustrating :/. Microsoft needs to get on the ball with issue since all they are giving us are guesses and
estimates, but no solutions. This so called "Next-Gen" console has been giving us nothing but headaches and I hope they'll soon look into this problem with serious commitment.

 

Yeah I just got this issue as well last night for the first time. Couldn't fix it with hard reset and uninstalling/reinstalling. any solutions?
