Netflix dims after 10 minutes

Netflix dims after playing for 10 minutes. Called Netflix support and they said there is no problem on their part. So frustrated that nobody takes accountability, I probably should sell my Xbox and go with a PS4.

Late March 2017 update causes Netflix to dim during use.

The latest update has caused Netflix to dim during use. The problem happens every 10 minutes or so. Quite annoying.

Dimming while 10min in a show

My one dims too after 10 minutes.. Doesn't matter if it's HBO, YouTube, twitch, casting, it dims.

So dumb.

Hey there Potato!

I'm sorry to hear about the issues with Netflix. Have you done any troubleshooting with your Xbox One yet? You didn't mention any steps so I apologize if I repeat anything you've already tried. The first thing you'll want to try is

power cycling your console. That can often clear up a lot of quirks that pop up. If that doesn't work, go ahead and

reinstall the Netflix app. If you're still having the dimming issue after that, go ahead and delete the Netflix app and then

factory reset your console while keeping the rest of your games and apps.

Hopefully something there works but if not, post back with the make/model of your TV so we can dig a bit there as well.

My xbox one is now having this same issue. Watching Netflix, 10 minutes or so later, the screen goes dim. This just started yesterday for me. VERY ANNOYING.

I also just this evening started having this issue. Things were fine with Netflix at 4pm, played a game for a couple hours, had dinner, came back to watch something then Netflix stared going dim after about 15-20 minutes. Also, noticed when the dimming began
happening that the wireless control no longer turns itself off automatically after a period of no use. Don't know if that's related or a separate issue.

If the app isn't dimming after 10 minutes, it's freezing up and takes a couple minutes to unlock and reset. HBO needs to fix this app ASAP!
