netflix causing xbox to lose network

Amazingly and unintuitively this has to do with the HDMI connection on the Xbox. Try this: Play a video on Netflix and while it is playing unplug and then plug in the HDMI chord on the back of the Xbox. By all means this should not only affect one program,
but for whatever reason a weak connection in the back of the Xbox causes Netflix to lose audio without impacting the rest of the system.

I've had a similar issue. Regardless of hardwire or wireless connection, when my XBox connects to the network and starts downloading/installing any games it causes all other devices on the network to essentially lose connection

We've had an issue where the Xbox One loses connection when Amazon Prime is streaming anything. Did a hard reset on the console, rebooted my router and modem, updated router firmware, isolated my console on my network, and even requested a new IP from my
provider, just in case.

Netflix, Crackle, Pandora, SyFy, CW and Plex all work just fine. Only Amazon Prime caused this error after a minute or two of viewing.

It is sad when we lose a game from Game Pass. It's similar to Netflix's movies. Xbox and the developer make an agreement on the inclusion of their game. Sometimes like Netflix we'll lose something we've been waiting to binge.

Is it only netflix which are causing you to lose connection to Xbox LIVE? If so, Try delete netflix app and reinstall it. If this doesn't work try one or more of the following solutions.

Make sure your router firmware is up to date (visit manufactures website and see if there is a later version available).

Restart your network equipment

• Turn off your Xbox 360 console and any network hardware (for example, your modem and router).
  
• Wait 30 seconds.
• Turn on your modem, and wait one minute.
• Turn on the next piece of hardware (for example, your router), and wait another minute.
  

If you are connected wireless try a wired connection. If you don't have a modem built in router try connect directly to your modem to determine if the router is causing this (reset Xbox network settings back to the default).
