Netflix app lags/stalls/freezes my Xbox One

Installed the Netflix app but whenever i launch it, it will either lag/freeze/not load all during the splash screen or loading screen before you get to choose your Netflix Profile. It freezes up so bad to the point where when i press the "home" button on
the control, nothing happens. Wven when i try to force close the app, the console freezes up.

I have uninstalled/reinstalled the app. I have done a hard reset and tried to relaunch the app right after the reset. Same problem.

I have used other apps, no problems, it is just Netflix.

I initially thought it was my WiFi connection and it might being slow, but i have connected it directly to a hardline and it still would not work. Even when bringing the console to a friend's place that has +30MBps connection, still freezes.

My only option is to go back to watching Netflix on my XBOX 360.

Anyone run through a similar problem like this? Any solutions?

Annnnnnd not only does my Xbox one freeze, the netflix app decides to shut my entire console off.....

Help me please, I've uninstalled and everything

I was having this problem, too, but I think it was coming from the fact that I was just cutting the One off without exiting Netflix first. Do you do that? If so, exit Netflix first and then cut your One off. The next time you try to load it, it shouldn't freeze up.

 

I have exactly the sama problem. I have reseted console, reinstalled app and still freezes. I hope someone knows whats the problem. Still works on 360 normally.

 

I am likewise experiencing this problem. I have uninstalled/reinstalled Netflix and full reset the console. No change.

Uh oh... that shouldn't have happened.

They have barely even looked into it its affecting more and more people.

Jan 28th, 2016. Issue still exist, called both Netflix and Microsoft, they were unable to solve the issue.

 

Happens to me when i open netflix my entire xbox gets laggy/5 second delay!

I too am having this issue but with Netflix. I also posted in the other now locked forum.

The only thing I've found is a temporary fix, which is turning off the Xbox, unplugging the power cable and the HDMI output lead to the TV. Netflix usually then works once or twice afterwards. This is NOT a solution however and we shouldn't have to do this
every few days to use an app. All other Xbox functions and apps work as normal.

I have phoned Netflix twice who insist that this is a Microsoft problem (with the app).

A moderator 'helpfully' closed the other thread so I'm reposting as I STILL can't reliably use Netflix.

 

My Netflix has always worked fine but suddenly about two hours ago started doing this exactly. I've done the full power cycles, deleted/reinstalled and no change.

 

I had the same issue but was able to get it fixed.

Here was my setup: HDMI cable going from my Xbox One to a splitter. From the splitter, one HDMI cable went to the TV and another to a video capture device (for a homemade ambilight clone).

This setup was working fine until about a week ago, but I can't pinpoint exactly when it started. The lagging and delay only affected Netflix.

I read in another thread that it may be an HDCP issue. So I hooked the HDMI cable directly from the Xbox to the TV and now everything is working fine... even though I can't use my splitter now.

 

I am experiencing the same issue as of last night , but only on the xbox one in my room , has anyone ever found a soloution yet ? This is ridiculous
