Netflix and Amazon Lovefilm - Choppy Framerate

I have the same problem with Amazon video. It was working fine and then the other day the image started stuttering, but the audio continues and it isn't a internet problem. I found this on the help section related to the app:

"Also, check that your television is not performing additional processing on the image. On your TV, this is often called dynamic contrast, image enhancement, or clear motion rate."

I turned the dynamic contrast on my TV off just now and it appears to be streaming fine now so I'd recommend that. Good luck!

 

I have the same problem with the Amazon app. It's started acting up on 3/24 and still nothing is being done about it.

 

The same problems on the One with the Amazon App...on the 360 no problems with that.

to see if it helps in the meantime.

Same issues with Amazon for me too since at least Friday 3/28. Netflix far smoother, not perfect though. Afraid to use Xbox Video while this is going on, might lose money on bad rental, etc. I can stream Amazon (and Netflix) smooth as butter in full HD on
my Sony Blu-ray player - hardwire connected to the same router/modem as my Xbox One.

It's very nice to find this thread tonight ans see Misses Joust's comment just above. Staying frosty until a fix (my dynamic contrast is already off).

 

Wooooow, I just checked out Amazon last night to see what people were talking about...and "choppy" is an understatement...it's flat unwatchable...the Netflix issues were annoying, but watchable, but Amazon gets to parts where it shows 1FPS...

 

Just to reiterate, since the thread went to another page. The fix for Amazon stuttering is coming in the next update.

 

Last night I noticed a massive improvement in Video quality on both Netflix and Amazon Love film. Looking into this today I found that I have been upgraded to the latest update XB-REL-1404-140331-2200 which I am pleased to report has eliminated the annoying
frame skipping that plagued both these apps.

 

I can confirm the issue of choppy frame rates on my xbox one is currently back causing noticeable issues with the use of the netflix app, but not on my other systems.

(PC Win10, tablet, smart phone, ect.)

I got a 200Mbs fiber connection at home, so that shouldn't be a problem.
