Netflix and Amazon Lovefilm - Choppy Framerate

thewilltokill, most modern flatscreen TVs in the UK can in fact handle NTSC and 60hz frame rate video so that is not the cause of judder on panning shots in Xbox one Love Film and Netflix apps in the UK. The 50HZ problem we have in Great Britain is that
set top boxes such as Virgin Media Tivo and Sky output 50HZ video so when routed through Xbox one which outputs at 60Hz, TV video judders due to the frame mismatch. Its not the same issue though that is being reported on this thread.

I went to my friends house that has Comcast and he has the EXACT same issue as me so I am starting to think it's really the Modem/Gateway and looking into swapping it out and purchasing my own router.

I went to my other friends house that does not have Comcast and his does not display the issue.

Yes i have comcast cable, but Netflix works fine on all other devices. I did port forwarding for Xbox, so my NAT is open, it is the Xbox causing the issue. As I said: it worked fine until around June when Xbox got a new update...

I have posted on this as well previously, video stutter on all streaming apps here in the US, Netflix and Vudu are the ones I use the most, was hoping that the February update would have fixed, but not. It was slightly better for about 30 minutes, now its
back to the video stutter. I've been using my Vizio TV apps to do all my streaming. Rediculous. Microsoft....fix the problem, or take the nonfunctioning apps off of Xbox Live until the respective publishers fix them! Funny thing though, those apps work fine
on everything else except the Xbox One. Common denominator comes to mind. I'm going to keep posting, only way to keep the attention on this unacceptable issue.

 

So its been a few months since I first came on here to complaint about this and it still has not been fixed.

Atleast the bluray issue has been improved but Netflix/Vudu still play like crap..

I hope MS knows this judder is not just in the UK and not just for TV. I really hope this fix is rolled out in the March update.

To be clear, those articles are specifically about the 50Hz LiveTV issue. BUT, the problems discussed in this thread are understood and also will be fixed "within a matter of weeks." Sorry, policy is to not commit to dates in case fixes get pulled at the

At last, some acknowledgement of the problems. Shame it took 170+ posts and 4 months. But then MS have shareholders and admitting stuff like this honestly never happens.

Everything will be miraculously fixed for when the titanfall bundle comes out, and the only people who will ever know how crap things were for the first 5 months will be us saps who paid £30 extra for a glorified beta test. But then sadly I'm not surprised.

 

I still like my Xbox One as a games machine btw, just stuff like this is so frustrating when it costs so much money! Simple things. :/

 

I have been given early beta access to the March firmware update, and having installed it on my xbox one I can indeed confirm that the video frame dropping and Unsmooth movement on xbox video, netflix and lovefilm has seemingly been eradicated entirely.
So the rest of you only have two weeks to go until you can finally use the media apps as intended. Thank god for that.
