In general a wired connection does work better than wifi. Higher connection speeds, less signal loss & inference, and the physical cable is providing a connection for one device as opposed to multiple devices on wifi.

Just to make it clearer wifi works with both ipv4 and ipv6 enabled.

    Hello!

You won't see any noticeable difference in speeds or downloads using ipv4 vs ipv6. If that's the main reason you are trying to use it, I would recommend just leaving both enabled.

Thanks for your reply - but would an eth0 cable connection be faster than wifi?
