  1. Net Nuetrality and Xbox One: Thoughts?

This affects the US, but if successful, I predict will come to everyone as well. Post may be deleted or moved but kinda outraged about this crap.

A current debate in the US government that basically will let cable and internet providers to charge streaming sites such as Netflix, Hulu, etc to provide service, as well as charge it's customers a premium to provide such service, ultimately transferring
the cost to us. You could always choose a lower tier(I.e. Cable package) but would lose benefits of said services or get MUCH slower streams.

BTW, this will have huge implications for gamers because of the amount of data we use. It could kill online gaming on any platform. Who are the major players Pushing for it? Comcast, Time Warner, Verizon...won't link a lot of articles about this subject,
if you don't know what it is you should research it as it will affect you eventually. If they get their way, many providers across the globe will take note and follow suit. Please, if your a troll, or a keyboard warrior, or just a concerned person, go and
address your govt. rep or whoever it is you need to And SPAM...LOL. THIS IS UNFAIR. THE INTERNET SHOULD BE FREE FOR ALL!!! Well...just FYI.

    :)

  2. permanent console ban.

Earth, 3rd rock from the Sun to be specific.

Can't help but notice the how and why that all these bans are playing out.

Net Nutrality didn't pass so how come corporations act as if it did?

No, 'you agreed' does not in any way shape or form justify corporations, whether consumer protection, constitutional, or privacy. Skirting the law.

I pay $60/month for my internet plan: 25Mbps download, 2.5Mbps upload, 250 GB for transfers.

If Netflix gets to expensive..... cancel subscription. Once they see a drop in customers they will revamp there ideas.

Kingvas... It's not netflix raising their price, it would be your provider of mobile, wifi, or cable that raises your price. Something you can't escape, unless you go offline...

    .

Seriously, OP makes some valid points.

Especially if you buy your games digitally. Those multi Gigabit games are what the ISP's want to charge top dollar for and/or throttle your service.

I also urge everyone to get involved in this movement.

  10. Yup. Why do you think you cannot purchase premium content such as HBO or other premium services a la carte? ISP's will only let you purchase them in packages or tiers. Tier 1, Tier 2, etc...Only. They make more money gouging. ISP's are losing revenue hand
over fist from people cutting their Cable Cord, and now they seek to control your access to the internet. Something that is an entity of its own and should be FREE for everyone, not just those that can afford it. Lol...wait for tiered pricing for internet
streaming services. You can get twitch, Crackle, and Netflix on tier 1, but if you want to game online then you need tier 2 pricing. But we'll throw in hulu and amazon prime as well. But NO, you cannot access these services a la carte...so so bad...
