Nephew can't log in, Won't let him create a new account either

Hello,

My nephew is having an issue with his account. I am the troubleshooter of the family but I am also having no luck figuring this one out.

He believes his microsoft account has been compromised via a gaming discord server.

I instructed him to sign in to make sure everything is okay and to change his password.

However, whenever he tries to sign in, it says, "there is not microsoft account tied to this email"

I know for a fact this is the correct email though because it is still logged in on his xbox and he receives emails from microsoft to that email account.

When I clicked, "make new account," it says, "this email is already tied to another account."

So I am in a never ending cycle of "this email does not exist" and "this email is tied to another account"

To make this worse, it appears that the only way he can contact support is by logging in, which as I have stated above, he is unable to do.

Any advice?

If you attempt to log in and receive a message stating that the account does not exist, it means the account either doesn't exist or has been closed. This can happen when there has been no activities in the last two years. Once an address is removed or deleted, it cannot be used again, which then gives you a message account that already exists. This is also possible when your account has been compromised. You will have to use a different method to verify the account.

Things you can try:

1. Check whether you only misspelled your account.

2. Make sure you are using the correct domain of the email.

You can't. He would either need to continue using the account or you would need to create a new, child account for him and he would need to start over.

It's either give him your account or create a brand new account for him and he start over. Nothing can be transferred between accounts.

I managed to set up an account through with the website and that let me do parental confirmation. Now I have a problem that the XBox won't let my son log in to XBox Live with it and he cannot use the email address to create another account and it wouldn't
let me do parental confirmation if he did. The XBox insists he creates the account through the XBox only but won't let me do parental confirmation so even if he created a new email address it wouldn't help.

Earlier, my son was playing with one of my nephews. It was working and they were playing the first level. My other nephew tried to take the controller away from his brother to show him how to do something. Kinect saw this, and tried to log him in as somebody.
This ended the fun, there was no way to satisfy the login screen. No matter what we chose, Guest account, I wasn't recognized, nothing would let it work. Even giving the controller back to his brother didn't help.
