Neither Hyper X headset nor original in box head set working with Destiny

Hello,

So i have a problem. So I recently bought a Hyper X Cloud gaming headset (and everyone has said its compatible) as well as a xbox one official stereo adapter. My problem is this. When I am playing destiny I cannot hear chat at all. The music and in game
sounds are coming through just fine however, neither party nor in-game fire team chat is coming through. It looks like my mic is working in that the blue circle lights up when in party chat, and the mic appears for in game as well.

The thing is that even when i plug back in the original in-box head set the mic works but there is no chat sounds coming through (so it doesn't appear to be a strictly Hyper X problem).

This is really annoying and preventing me from doing fire teams and raids…and any help in resolving this issue would be much appreciated!

my headset times out after so long

when im playing MW3 about 20 min or so my headset stops working i cant hear people or talk to them when i un plug my headset i can hear a click in the head set but nothing happens... if i restart my x box it works but only for so long

X box one headset

Please can anyone help? Our xbox headset just stopped working for no apparent reason. We swapped it for a new turtle beach one (like the original) but it still doesn't work. The headset does work, I have tested it through the computer. It is plugged into the controller by a headset jack, as it was when it was working before. The controller has been updated. I have checked the privacy settings and all seems fine. Can anyone help?? We have only had the x box and controller since January. Thanks in anticipation.

Do this for me....in general the stereo adapter has master volume on the right and game/chat volume controls on the left of the adapter.

Please press the bottom left button four or five times.

-This should lower the game volume and raise the chat volume.

-Part 2 is to go into Destiny settings and ensure that you have turned on chat headset /speaker or both.

Hi, I use the Hyper X Cloud X headset, and I have to say it's a very good headset. Works really well with Dolby Atmos as well.

Don't upgrade to quickly. I upgraded my original Xbox One Head set to a new Turtle Beach Head set because the original seemed to no longer work. And well, neither work now, at least on party chat.

I tried a Hyper X cloud II and another strickly xbox hyper X, and a kotion each G2000. All didn't work. I'm almost positive its not a headset issue the only thing it could have to do with is what the console is set to which I tried all three stero uncompressed
and other 2.

Hi,

glad I am not alone. Same issue here. Head-sets work fine on all other devices but not recognised by the controllers.

An old not working x-box headset is recognised however so not the socket.

Very frustrating!
