Needing to recover a gamertag

Would you please tell me how did you delete your gamertag? Have you actually deleted your Microsoft account?

I ask because there is no way to delete a gamertag or Xbox profile. It is a part of your Microsoft Account. You can only delete your Microsoft account (which your Xbox profile is associated with).

Or did you removed it from the console?

Delete the Gamertag from the Xbox 360 Console. Only delete the Gamertag. Recover the Gamertag. You will need the Windows Live ID and Password to Recover that account.

I'm not sure but . recovering the gamertag to another console might work, I think the gamertag can only be on one console at the same time, and you need the password to recover it.
