Needing a new headset, some questions

I am coming from a 360 triton trigger that I had hooked up with the controller adapter. It was fine but it is giving it up. It has actually lost some sound but still works. Occasionally it will kick back in and I can hear more "quality" from it again.
Seems to be in the speaker so I am just going to buy a new headset.

I have the Xbox One stereo headset that I purchased for my son to use. It is pretty good from my testing. I can get one for $50. I do not mind paying a little more if the sound quality is better but not really interested in $140+ headsets. I noticed this
headset was on sale for $70 but was not quite sure if it was worth the extra:

And I have seen the XO Four for $85 on Amazon as well. I may consider the XO Seven if it is that much better than the others though even with it being higher than my max.

Any input on these headsets and how good they are overall? Especially considering price. Or any other recommendations would be welcome. Thank you in advance.

Needing some help

i have internet access. But when trying to go play online it keeps popping up saying im unable to access online services

 

AG9 headset

hey needing some help to set up my son’s AG9 headset, you can hear gameplay ect but he can’t talk/hear his friends if that makes any sense.

I’ve followed the the step by step guide but can’t seem to fix it.

I don’t have the reciept to take them back.

Really needing help as this was a birthday gift for him.

 

I can help a little. i have the XO 7s and they are pretty good and comfortable. I did try the ear force atlas (the titanfall ones) but i didn't care for the sound quality and they weren't very comfortable. I haven't tried the XO fours, but i will say i like
my 7s. I also got the ear force stealth 500p last night for my PS4 and if your willing to wait, i can try them out on the XBO and tell you what I think. They were 100.00 from best buy

 

I can wait. Would be nice to know how those work with the XBO. The Atlas Titanfall ones supposedly share a lot with the XO Fours so if the Atlas ones are not very comfortable not sure I would risk a pair of those. Would be nice to have good sound and
comfort in a headset.

 

the at;as ones are too much plastic. they squeeze your head and don't' have much padding. the XO7s are all leather wrapped and feel really good even after hours of usage. the atlas would give me a headache after an hour or so. too bad cause i really love
titan fall and the design of them, but they just weren't worth the 150 i spent, i can't recommend those to anyone. I'll check out the ear force stealth 500p and let you know what i think. and the good thing is it works for a PS4, PS3 and mobile phones so if
they sound good on the XBO i might get rid of the XO sevens i have.

 

Nothing like having a headset give you headaches. I had one that did that as well. Sound was great but nobody could stand to wear them. If the 500p sounds good on the XBO I might get one and use I with mobile as well. Been wanting to get a headset like
that for a while. This might be the perfect solution. Looking forward to your results, thanks.

Iv just got the new gen 2 astro a40's they say for ps4 but work fine with xbox one and they sound really good

 

Thanks Gh0stz. I have been looking at headsets and have seen where some PS4 headsets that do not mention the One work. I noticed that one headset I looked at is cheaper for PS4. And the wire can be removed from the in line amp like my current headset
so it should work. Maybe when I get back home I will try and look around Amazon and other places and see what I can find. I will consider the a40's and wait for Slayin and the 500p results. If the 500p works with the One that would be a big consideration
as well since it has PS4/Mobile support.

 

I also have the XO7's. They are comfortable and have great sound quality. Suits my needs perfectly

 

Thanks Sword, always good to get feedback from people who have them. I am considering the X07's and maybe the 500p if the word is they work good with the One.

I do wonder how the XO One and the other Turtle Beach I listed in my original post are for comfort. The one in that post almost looks more comfortable in the ear pad but that is just an eyeball feel which will not tell me much. Wondering if these are good.
Might get a pair of either of these and then pick up either the 500p or X07 as well. Use the cheaper pair on the go like I was with my tritton trigger.

 

Ok so after testing. The 500p works 100% wireless with a PS4, for the XBO if you want game audio only, it'll work wireless but you get no chat, if you want chat, you have to plug it in your controller and use the chat adapter. Also when you do this, sometimes
they seem to go into a power save mode after like an hour and you have to press power to stop it from powering down. sound quality is good though and its comfortable. So yes the 500p will work, but if you are only looking for the XBO i'd recommend the XO7
instead, they are more comfortable and work better due to being made for the XBO but for a cheaper option that works with mobile and other consoles, the 500p is a pretty nice deal too

 

Sounds like that might be what I want. The turtle beach ear force stealth 400 seems to be similar. Wonder if that will work as well. Guessing it probably would work the same. I want to get a wireless one for my oldest son and let the 2 younger ones use
these other headsets. Might just get 2 headsets. Thanks for the feedback on the 500p.

 

TBH I just picked up the regular Xbox One stereo headset for $50 and I am pretty impressed with it. Great sound, is not very heavy and chat works great.
