Need XBox Model Recommendations

I still own original half-life one,orange box, and other 360 discs but no longer own an Xbox console. I don’t want to buy the newest model consoles either as I’m 70 years old and unlimited income.

What Xbox console model would you guys recommend to purchase to play my 360 games on? Do they include of course Xbox 360 or Xbox one probably refurbished or is there another model that I could buy?

Xbox backwards compatibility is the same no matter which system you buy

Depending on which model Xbox One you have, then you have different choices.

For Xbox One, this model has a separate power supply, and Microsoft no longer manufacture them, so your only options would be to purchase a 3rd party one (not recommended) or use a power converter (again not recommended).

For Xbox One S & Xbox One X, these power supplies support multi voltage. All you would need is a power cable for your power source.

I wouldn't recommend installing multiple drivers, it will cause a multitude of issues and even BSOD's.

Find out what the make model your motherboard is, go to the website and download the driver you need.

The disc drives in the two models is different, I had far more read problems with my original XBox than with the newer one. My recommendation is that if you DO get it working, try to copy the game to the HD. you'll still need the disk to play it but it only
needs to verify the disk is there rather than using it to load the game.
