Need to use a completely different email address

Hello,

This is my first time posting and I'm a 45 year old mum so please be kind

I set my Xbox playing son up with a Live account using my work email address. I have now left the company so don't want to use that email address any more BUT I'm really worried about my son losing all his games and progress.

Please help! Thank you

Changing the email address to your account will not change anything with regard to any games or progress. As an example, I recently help a friend change his email address and there were no issues at all.

Hopefully this helps keep down your worries.

Hi

Don't worry your sons account is safe just sign into your Microsoft account and go to account setting and change your email address Microsoft generally will send u a email to your new email address to confirm. Over the years I have changed my email 3 times..

You are more than safe to change the email associated with that account, he will not lose any progress or games as all of that data is saved through the cloud storage of the Xbox one. His account should be safe!
