Need to switch child account to adult account

Sorry to hear it. If you added the membership recently then you can call phone support and explain the issue to them. They should be able to remove the membership from his account and send you a token for it to add to your account.

If that doesn't work then simply set his account as Home on the console. Then the membership will share to all gamertags and you'll be able to purchase the free games.

How long ago did the Child account switch to an Adult account?

I am having the same issue. I need to switch my account that my son has been using to a child account to limit his time. Either that or find a way to switch his game progress & money to his child account.

There is no way to demote an adult account to a child account and there is no way to transfer progress and currency to another account.

Unfortunately if the account is set up as an adult there isn't a setting to change to revert it to a minor account, we understand how frustrating this can be and the best bet would be to set up a

passkey (to prevent purchases). This would be the best bet to prevent any unwanted purchases but that's about it. Give it a shot and let us know if we can further assist in this or any other issues or concerns!
