Need to reset PIN of microsoft account that is NOT logged in a working computer.

This Microsoft account does not have an account on this computer? Windows Hello usually is computer specific. Please try to deactivate the Windows Hello PIN for the account that is signed into the computer or use the PIN for the current signed in computer account.

- Go to Start > Settings > Accounts > Input options.

- Scroll down to the option "Require Windows Hello Sign In for Microsoft Accounts" and set it to disabled.

- On the Windows Hello PIN (above), click on remove. This will remove any PIN saved on Windows Hello for the account.

- If it asks for a password, confirm your Microsoft account password.

- Restart your computer.

I would say that's probably the computer account PIN. The same you use to sign in to your computer. You can try to use this PIN or you can deactivate it:

I'm sorry to hear that method did not work. I recommend contacting Microsoft customer support to see if there is anything they can do in regards with resetting the Pin for you.

If your User account login with Microsoft account then follow the below steps:

1. Select the Reset password link on the sign-in screen. If you use a PIN instead, see PIN sign-in issues. If you're using a work device that's on a network, you may not see an option to reset your password or PIN. In that case, contact your administrator.

2. Answer your security questions.

3. Enter a new password.

4. Sign in as usual with the new password.

Thank you for you answer. We have now solved the problem to install it on my computer with my microsoft account. But this was not what I want to do. My daughter and me have had two microsoft accounts one own and one school account. Also I'm using Microsoft familiy safety. When we startet to buy the game on her compunter wither her account, she needed to ask me and I have allowded it, but nothing happend. There was always standing her parents have allowde, but buying was not possible. Then I buyed the game on Microsoft with my computer and my account. When my daughter tried to downlowd the game on her computer she was always asked for the hello PIN. I created from my computer the PIN, but her system always said the PIN is wrong. She tried it with my Microsoft account on her computer. On her computer it is not possible to create a hello PIN, I think because of the school account.

Now I have deleted the school account from my computer and it was possible to download and install minecraft. But this is not the solution which I prefer, because I want the game on her computer.

On my computer is Windows 10 installed, I think on my dauthers computer is Windows 11, but I'm not sure.

I'm really desperated now, I'm not sure if no we can solve the proplem that my daughter get minecraft now on her computer. But on mine it should not stay...
