“..need to read the license.” after disc eject. One X

Just bought a factory re-certified One X from Walmart and every time I eject a game disc I get the “Insert Game Disc....license error (0x82d40004)”. I’ve seen many posts on this happening when a disc is inserted but none when ejected. Is this something
to be concerned about? Way to remove it? Otherwise unit/controller were in mint condition and working great. Thanks.

That’s the one. Newbie here. Was ejecting disc before I went back to the xbox home screen. Thanks!

I would contact Walmart and see about getting a replacement since you got the refurbished console from them. This is more likely due to a faulty disc drive with that error code you provided.

do you quit the game before ejecting the disc? try quitting the game then ejecting it.

I am wondering if the game still thinks it is running so ejecting the disc throws up the error to stop you trying to play the game without the disc inserted as part of the copyright protection

Just means it’s a factory refurb but comes with a warranty. How they sell them on their website.
