Need to know something about digital games

If i buy a digital copy of a game lets say for instance TF2 and i want the upgraded version of the game like the deluxe do i need to buy a whole other copy or is there a way i can just pay the difference between them

Play Anywhere titles will unlock on your account for both the Xbox and PC, regardless of which platform you purchased them on

Pretty much lets you play both PC and Xbox One and you do not need to buy an additional copy.

You can the game both on xbox and PC. In addition, the save data should be able to work between both of the platforms. As long as the game is play anywhere. Some games are separate titles between Xbox and Win 10. Just make sure
it is play anywhere.
