Need to change the email connected to my xbox account

a long time ago when i first played Xbox, my dad used his email to make my account. when he did this he used the email we used that was connected to our internet provider and since then we have changed providers so now i no longer can access this email regardless of what the password is. im still signed in on my Xbox but i cant sign in to the Xbox app on my pc because of this. I've looked at other peoples questions on how to solve this but the only answers I've seen are just changing the password which just isn't helpful. the annoying thing is that i can sign in on my browser because it sends a code to my personal email for me to input but the app sends the code to the old email that i can't use anymore.

Hey Buy, that sounds really frustrating, especially since you’re still signed in on your Xbox but can’t get access elsewhere.

Since you no longer have access to the original email, I’d recommend using the Microsoft Account Recovery Form to try and regain full access or update the email associated with your account:

I have an account on my Xbox and a different on my pc. I need to delete the account on my pc so I can connect my Xbox profile to my pc. The only problem is the email on my pc is the email I use and have to change my Xbox account back to.

Yes but if I do that, I will no longer be able to connect to my PC for instance; or I'll need to use the new email (basically my younger brother email)

Thank you for responding. Based off the link it is connected to my current account and email information which is my parents. Changing the alias does nothing to the xbox live information it is simply to receive emails which will then change my parents email
again and mess everything up. I need to know how to completely change all the xbox live information to a separate account email and everything so it is my personal information but it seems impossible to do so without making another account, in which case is
extremely redundant and unnecessary.

As in my ninja edit, you also can't change the Windows LIve ID for the first three months of an accounts life, since for some reason the creation of the account counts as a "change" of the ID.

It shouldn't merge anything, as if an email address is already connected to another account you can't use it. To swap addresses between two active accounts you'd need to bring a third into play.

With the first account change email 1 to email 3.

This frees up email 1 to be switched for email 2 connected to the second account.
