Need to change pin without a windows device.

I have a Microsoft account that I don't have a PIN to. The problem is that my son bought a laptop and is trying to set up Xbox Live. The account for his Xbox was set up by myself with he was about 10. I had to create an Xbox account which is linked to the Microsoft account. When he tries to set up the Xbox Live, it asks for a PIN. I don't remember the PIN and all of the support pages tell me to change the PIN by going to Windows Hello to change the PIN. I don't own any windows devices and can't change the PIN the way they describe it.

How do I change the PIN without a windows device?

To modify the login pin you must press the Windows + i keys and access the Accounts option, where you must mark the Login Options and click on the Change option, present in the Pin options

If you signed in to Windows 10 using your Microsoft account, the Xbox app will take the credentials you've used to sign in. There's a possibility that the PIN code you're asked to enter is the PIN code of your Windows 10 user account. Let's remove the PIN
code. Here are the steps:

Click Start and select Settings.
Select Accounts.
Select Sign-in options, under PIN, click Remove.
Confirm the changes by entering your profile password.

If the same instance occurs after removing the PIN code and changing your user account's sign-in options, we suggest that you sign in to Xbox.com. This is to verify if there's an issue
